I went into the Jonesboro AR store ***** on **********. I purchased ** cans of Science Diet sensitive stomach*skin dog food. The current promotion was buy ** get * free. There were only ** cans on the shelf. I went to the checkout and told the cashier (******) what the sign read & that there were only ** cans. He didn’t respond at all, rang up my purchase and told me the total, I once again told him the promotion to which he replied “I don’t know, let me ask”. Then another associate came to the counter & said we’re out of it. I was not given the option of a rain check or any type compensation. I realize it’s only a $*.** can of food, but if you’re advertising this then there should be a way to honor it if that product is out of stock. The cashier could also use some additional training in customer service. This is not the first time I’ve been in this store and encountered less than helpful and*or friendly employees.
GetHuman-tvolsfan did not yet indicate what PetSmart.com should do to make this right.
