Just switched over from cable to NBN, * hrs ago.*Internet is working fine, however I cannot receive phone calls on my landline. I do have a dial tone and can make calls without issue. I have tried resetting the modem to no avail. The landline phone is a uniden dect**** and I do believe it is compatible with the NBN. I do believe this issue is a known problem. How can it be resolved?
Called Optus and eventually got hold of their technical department.*Apparently when my service was switched from cable to the NBN my existing home number was also changed. No I didn’t request a new number. Anyway the Optus technical support person arranged to have my old phone number switched to my new NBN service. It was supposed to take up to **hrs. **hrs later I phoned again and was told it may take * to * days!!!*Really.....what a load of bullsh*t. Optus you really are completely unprofessional in your approach to customer service. Unfortunately this appears to be an industry standard. I’ll just have to wait.
Tried punching myself in the face several times. That was far more satisfying than conversing with Optus.
