How GetHuman3851154 fixed the problem
I called the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO). Eventually Optus responded and fixed main problems but one could not be fixed. Prior to NBN correct local time was transmitted with Calling Number Display (CND) . Now it is not, so during Eastern Daylight Saving period time transmitted is one hour earlier. If you have time on your phone or answering system, the time displayed or recorded will be one hour earlier than correct time. Finally Optus advised me how to access the settings of my NBN modem to set it for daylight saving time. This fixes problem but has to be done manually, every time we go on, and come off, daylight saving time. Prior to the NBN this was automatic. Another facility we have lost with the advent of NBN.
