Hello, I received an offer to purchase a Bosch vacuum (VAC140AH) on May 5th, [redacted]. I accepted the offer the same day with the expectation to ship within three days. As Mother's Day weekend delayed my ability to ship within the 3 days, I later received a message from OfferUp on May 10th, [redacted], extending the shipping deadline by 2 additional days, with the cut-off being May 11th or 12th, [redacted]. I dropped off the vacuum at the Post Office to ship on May 10th, [redacted]. On the following day, I received an email from OfferUp stating that the order was being canceled due to the missed deadline, but they mentioned if the item was already shipped, the transaction would be completed, and payment would be processed. Despite this, I haven't received payment. I reached out to the buyer on May 19th, [redacted], who confirmed the vacuum had been delivered.

The seller has refused to refund my money on OfferUp. I was unable to reach OfferUp through the email they provided for information. Despite my attempts over two days, I couldn't speak with anyone. On the second day, OfferUp closed the case because the shipping label indicated 4 ounces, requiring me to add an additional $21 for the return. Even after providing the post office receipt showing the accurate weight of 8 pounds compared to the 4 ounces on the label, I still didn't get a chance to speak with OfferUp directly. It seems OfferUp favors sellers due to their profit-making model, and this particular seller's frequent ads might have influenced their decision. Their lack of customer service and indifference to my situation is concerning. Caution advised!

I am writing because I have a refund pending since two months ago, and I have not received payment yet. I have been trying to resolve this issue with you, but it has been challenging. I filled out a form, but I have not received a response. I am owed $20, and I need it back. I have been attempting to reach someone by phone to no avail, as all communication has been through email. I have not received any updates regarding my buyer protection claim. The product I purchased is damaged and not as described by the seller. I have photographic evidence to support my claim, but was not given the opportunity to provide it. I consulted a professional who confirmed the damage. I am seeking a refund as I realized the issue within 2 hours of delivery. The seller is now accusing me of causing the damage. Despite offering to return the items, the seller is not cooperating. I need assistance in ensuring my claim is received and considered, as I have not had any communication confirming it.

Yesterday, I bought a 50cc moped on OfferUp. I chose to ride it home, which was around 30 miles away. After traveling about 4 to 5 miles, the moped suddenly stopped working. The seller admitted he had mentioned a carburetor issue, but didn't take responsibility. I struggled to get the scooter to go faster than 18 mph the entire trip home. Upon arriving, I installed an 80cc big bore kit and was thrilled when the scooter reached 50 to 63 mph. However, on a short trip to the market, it started making unfamiliar noises. Upon inspection, I found metal shavings and strange substances in the oil. The seller, Walter, is unreachable now, and I'm left with a defective purchase. I'm wondering if there's any legal recourse regarding this situation on OfferUp.

Hello, my name is Angelika Monahan and I have been selling on OfferUp for a little over a year. Something concerning occurred almost three weeks ago with a transaction involving another seller named Synthia Swepston, also known as Gilbert. I dropped off the item I sold at the USPS store the same day, as usual. Even though I tried to seek help from customer service regarding the issue, my emails have been ignored with no response from anyone. On May 14th, I sold an item, but despite my efforts to ship it, the carrier did not scan or notify OfferUp. When Synthia informed me she received the order, I contacted OfferUp, but again, there was no response. The next day, they canceled the order and refunded her, leaving me at a loss of $40. It is unfair that she now has the item for free and I have lost out on payment. I feel neglected by OfferUp's customer service. Please assist me in resolving this matter. Sincerely, Angelika M.

I sold a furniture set to a nice family, and they allowed me to keep the couch and table until I move since I have sold all my other furniture. They paid me in cash for everything. I have been attempting to reach them on the cell phone number they provided, but it now says it's not in service. I have to vacate my house in two weeks. I accidentally deleted all the messages from my OfferUp app inbox and only have their disconnected cell phone number. I'm unsure what steps to take next.

Hello, my name is Jon and my phone number is [redacted]. I need assistance because I paid over $[redacted] for a premium listing on the platform. Unfortunately, my account got locked after someone falsely reported me for selling or price gouging hand sanitizer, which I do not sell. I specialize in boats, car accessories, vehicles, and wanted to list motorbikes and boats on the platform. I had a conversation with a person who threatened to report me for not providing items I didn't have. I also tried to help seniors by offering my services exclusively to them during these challenging times as I own a business in Lake Worth. I suspect this person reported me to the Florida Attorney General unjustly. In addition, a friend stole some items from me and sold them on OfferUp. I'm upset because my account has been banned, and despite reaching out multiple times, I haven't received any responses. I've been experiencing issues with declined payments on OfferUp using my Chime card. For example, I received a message stating: "We're sorry, your Debit was declined for [redacted].11 at Offer Up, Inc." I am a seller on offerup.com and my Chime card is linked to receive payments. I haven't made any purchases on OfferUp recently, only sales. I don't receive direct notifications from either app and only get push notifications from Chime. Can anyone assist me with this? I bought an item that was never shipped, so it got refunded to the virtual account I created with Google Pay. The refund shows in my Google Pay app with a transaction ID. However, the money has not been transferred back to my real bank account. Google advised me to contact OfferUp for a reference number and check if the funds have been released. My bank is not able to help with this issue as they still show the purchase as pending. Google blames OfferUp, and my bank claims no control over the situation. I need guidance on how to secure the refund back into my account.

I believe I have been scammed by iOffer. I made 4 sales starting from March this year and have not received payment for the goods yet. Despite providing my routing and checking numbers initially, the deposit did not go through. I then shared my debit card details for the same account, but still have not received anything. I am owed close to $[redacted] and urgently need the money, especially because my electricity has been disconnected due to Covid-19. I urge iOffer to process my payments promptly for the goods delivered to customers. According to your articles, there is a 90-day limit for payment processing after providing account information. I want to clarify that I shared my details well within that timeframe. Please release my funds without any delays.

I have been using OfferUp for over three years, but recently, I've noticed a drastic decrease in views and messages. When I try to purchase items, they seem to be sold instantly or removed altogether. Could there be some issue like a block or restriction affecting my account? On Marketplace, I have 58 badges for fast responses and have not received any negative feedback. Three weeks ago, everything was going well, but now I'm not getting any views at all. Numerous times, my items have been removed without any communication. I am struggling to understand why this is happening and would appreciate some clarification so I can address the issue. It appears that OfferUp, or as I like to call them, the incompetence they exhibit, has once again canceled one of my sales after I have already sent the item. There is one sale, in particular, where this has happened. I have communicated with the buyer who has received the product, but I have not been paid yet. It's important to remind these individuals that some individuals work hours that coincide with the post office's opening and closing times. I have attempted to reach out to these incompetent individuals through their app, but I keep encountering an error message. This situation is starting to frustrate me.

I bought an instant blender on OfferUp from Tara on Thursday, June 24, [redacted], for $39.21. She provided a tracking number, but since June 24th, it has shown that the package hasn't reached USPS, and the payment on OfferUp is pending. I've tried contacting the seller with no response. I'm hoping to receive the item if it's genuine or get a full refund if it's a scam.

I've been experiencing a lack of views for my items, which is surprising as they are popular products. Also, I haven't received responses from sellers for the items I've inquired about. Although I can post items, I can't see them displayed anywhere. Furthermore, I am not receiving message notifications despite getting other alerts. I've tried various troubleshooting steps like restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and adjusting my network settings, but nothing has fixed the issue. The "Beach Blonde crown topper hair extensions" were dark brown instead. I have returned the item, but the seller has not cooperated. Furthermore, I noticed a decrease in positive reviews for the item descriptions without any changes from my end. After attempting to reach out through Google, I discovered that my personal information was altered incorrectly, causing additional distress. I rectified the information and updated my password, but I am frustrated that no confirmation email was received. The ongoing troubles with OfferUp, including encounters with concerning individuals seeking personal details, have left me anxious for my safety. I purchased a lot of yarn from a seller named Dan Connors at [redacted] W Street, Washougal, WA [redacted]. The listing stated "as pictured for all," but I only received 6 rolls of yarn instead of the dozen or more depicted. The picture showed various sizes of variegated and single-colored yarn, along with a partly crocheted piece in a zip-up clear plastic bag. I am not seeking a refund as it has been too long, but I would like to receive the remaining yarn I paid for. I attempted to upload the picture from Mr. Connors' ad that displayed a large bag of assorted yarn rolls, but it was not possible.

I recently closed my bank account with Chase ending in [redacted]. Unfortunately, I forgot to update my payment information for an online transaction of $[redacted]. The money was sent to my closed account instead of my current one, causing me undue stress as it was intended for rent. I am hopeful there is a way to rectify this oversight.
