I am having trouble signing up for NextDoor in Rancho La Quinta, La Quinta, CA due to the sign-up requirements requesting a billable address telephone number or a postcard confirmation.
Our primary billing address is our post office box in Huntington Beach, CA where we have resided for almost ten years. Rancho La Quinta serves as our secondary home and is classified as "vacant" by USPS, therefore mail delivery is not available at this address: [redacted] Cabrillo Way, La Quinta, CA [redacted].
I will forward a copy of our Grant Deed via a separate email. I have an immediate need for NextDoor members as we reside in a gated golf community and are looking to sell a golf cart that was included in the home purchase to make space for our cars in the garage. I hope we can expedite this process.

I'm having an issue with a member, Jim Whitehill, in Cypress Knoll, Palm Coast FL on Nextdoor. He repeatedly uses the platform to intimidate and shame neighbors, despite being flagged. His girlfriend lists her address incorrectly and refuses to correct it. When contacted, he posts offensive remarks and bullies anyone who asks for the correction. Whitehill's behavior goes unchecked as he publicly shames neighbors and bullies leads into apologizing to him. He once falsely accused me of using a fraudulent name after changing my name due to marriage, causing unnecessary distress. He seems to be using Nextdoor solely for personal vendettas and is not reined in by leads. His abusive behavior towards neighbors and manipulation of the platform needs to be addressed.

I received an email from Nextdoor regarding a woman named Mary Stout supposedly living on my street, Leahy Avenue. The issue is, she does not reside here. Unfortunately, she has been harassing my mother, who does live at this address, with threatening messages and false claims that caused a lot of personal, professional, and financial trouble. Mary, who is known to be a homeless methamphetamine addict with a restraining order against her from another neighbor, has a history of theft and harassment in the area. She has even taken potted plants, mail, and potentially my mother and my two small dogs. Given her behavior, I am concerned about Nextdoor's inquiry and wonder if she might be attempting to sell stolen items or pets. I have involved the police but would appreciate more details to address this matter effectively. Thank you, Sydney.

I recently received my NDN copy and encountered an issue when prompted to sign in to read the full message. Unfortunately, I forgot my password and the process to reset it has been challenging. I keep receiving instructions via email to create a new password, but it only leads me back to the same page indicating an error. Even when I attempted to use the temporary password provided, the same issue persisted. When I tried to add the app on my iPad, it informed me that an account already existed with my email address. I thought adding the app would simplify the process, but it has only added to my frustration. I am unable to find a way to change my password and question why I am required to provide further identification since the email was sent to my address. This experience is perplexing as I do not recall encountering this level of security before.

I am having difficulty accessing Nextdoor due to password problems. I have attempted to reset it as I forgot the password, but each time I receive an email to reset it, the system asks me to try again later. This issue has become so frustrating that I am considering giving up on Nextdoor entirely. I wanted to help a friend's mother who is in need of packing boxes, but the site is not cooperating. I have been a long-time member of Nextdoor, and in the past, it was easy to use without any problems. Now, it has become overly complicated. Many of my friends are facing similar challenges and have resorted to creating new accounts with different email addresses. I hope Nextdoor can simplify the process for users like me.

Dear Nextdoor Customer Service, I am seeking assistance with an issue regarding the merging of posts in the "groups" section. I followed your suggestion and created a group named "My Pinery Neighbors Precinct Leader Evie Zur," where I shared details about an open house event for petition signing. Even though I specified in the general area that the event details could be found in the "groups" section, both posts seem to have merged, causing all the information to appear in the general post. This unintentional merge could potentially violate Nextdoor rules, and I am unsure how to rectify it. Your help in understanding what happened and resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I am Russell Reinke, a former Lead Moderator for NextDoor Plantation Bay in Ormond Beach, Florida. During my tenure, our resident base experienced significant growth. Currently, I am concerned about the absence of an active Moderator, despite seeing Dave Levering listed as the lead. Since Mr. Rella's departure as lead Moderator last December, our community page seems unregulated. I am ready to assist in addressing our issues and reinstating posting guidelines. Plantation Bay, with over [redacted] residents, requires effective moderation. In the past, we had direct communication with your headquarters for managing serious violations. You can reach me at [redacted] to discuss this matter further and to coordinate the appointment of a new responsible Moderator.
Thank you,
Russell Reinke

My wife and I each have adjacent accounts, but she is unable to receive notification emails from her account despite being able to log in. A message advises us to confirm the email address and reply to a verification code. Despite trying the suggested solutions, nothing has fixed the issue.
During troubleshooting, I mistakenly entered an incorrect email address, and when I attempted to correct it, the system indicated that the revised address is already in use, preventing me from updating it.
Providing her details for clarity:
Carol S.
Incorrect email: [redacted]
Correct email: [redacted]
I have exhausted my attempts to rectify this issue and wonder if her account may be frozen, necessitating unfreezing.
Your prompt assistance is greatly appreciated. Future correspondence should be directed to her correct email address.
Sincerely,
Rudy S. on behalf of Carol S.

I have been a loyal supporter of the Nextdoor App and have noticed that every home in Valley Village shows up for sale except for mine. I am frustrated since I actively promote the app to friends and family. Why is my home not appearing when others in the area are listed? This is very concerning to me, and I may consider blogging about it as I have a significant following. My property is listed through SeagerRealEstateServices.com (Ray Seager) with the MLS listing at [redacted] Hortense St. Valley Village, CA [redacted]. I seek answers to this issue promptly before taking further action.

I have been a loyal Nextdoor App user for a long time and noticed that real estate listings consistently show up when I open the app, except for my own home in Valley Village. I enlisted the help of a Valley Village broker, SeagerRealEstateServices.com, to list my house at ***** Hortense St. Valley Village, CA ***** in June. Despite my efforts to support Nextdoor and introduce it to friends and family, my listing never appears while other homes in the area are prominently featured. I'm frustrated and disappointed with this lack of visibility and concerned about the fairness of the listing process. As someone with a significant online following, I am considering writing a blog post to address this issue if it is not resolved promptly. I urge Nextdoor to investigate this matter and provide a satisfactory explanation as to why my home is not being showcased like others in Valley Village.

Hello, my name is Mike Perez and I reside in Sellwood. A few weeks back, I was strolling with my dog at Johnson Creek Park when a man snapped four photos without my consent. After I politely asked him to respect my dog, he claimed to have the right to take pictures. However, even the police mentioned he needed my permission to post images online. Subsequently, he fabricated lies about me after I requested him to mind his own business. I want a retraction or apology from your site; otherwise, I will take legal action for defamation, slander, and harassment. This behavior is unacceptable, and it seems like your platform is more of a gossip haven than a reliable source.

Hello,
I am writing because I recently had an incident with Sarah Lyons regarding some posts I made on Craigslist. I offered to take in dogs to prevent them from going to a kennel, but Sarah accused me of trying to sell them. I believe she defamed my name without understanding my true intentions. After feeling upset and reacting strongly, I deleted the posts once I calmed down. However, my account is now frozen. Could you assist me in reactivating it? I only made those posts to defend myself from potential defamation and character attacks.
Thank you for your help.
Best,
Maria W.

Dear community members,
I have been an active member of NextDoor for a long time now. Recently, my daughter, an Honor Student at OCSA, posted about her babysitting services. To my surprise, her post got reported, even though she received positive feedback from our neighbors.
I noticed that many parents post similar ads for their children. My daughter is not running a business; she is just trying to earn some extra money due to our financial constraints after the passing of my husband.
I reached out to John Yasko, our lead, who mentioned that restricting the post to Dover Shores might help it stay up. He also said he would discuss this with other neighborhood leads.
I would appreciate it if the same standards are applied to all teens interested in babysitting and running weekend businesses.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Angela G.

I recently received a warning about advertising my business on the main page. I was contacted by a lead from a different area who informed me about this policy. I apologized to her, explaining that I was unaware of the rule and promised not to repeat the mistake. Regrettably, my account got deactivated as a result. I rely on this app for various purposes like communicating with neighbors, pet sitting, house cleaning, and selling items. I kindly request to have my account reinstated or to gain access to my address in order to create a new account. Thank you. Tammy R. [redacted] Great Oak Court, Magnolia, TX [redacted].

I am seeking advice regarding a recent experience I had on NextDoor. I listed a Tiffany-style glass vase signed by an artist for sale, originally priced at $[redacted]. A potential buyer saw a listing on NextDoor for $[redacted] and only offered me that amount. I had already reduced the price to $[redacted] once, as I felt $[redacted] was a fair deal given the item's value. However, NextDoor automatically adjusted the price lower, causing confusion and frustration. I believe this practice is unfair to sellers like me. I am disappointed with NextDoor's system and feel like sellers are being taken advantage of. Has anyone else encountered similar issues on NextDoor? Thanks for any insights!

I am a member of the HOA Nextdoor.com site. Local leads and Nextdoor Support have unfairly banned my household without valid reasons. The most recent claim for the ban was due to posts being removed without explanation. I have tried to raise awareness about wrongdoing within our community without using disrespectful language. I want Nextdoor.com's Support to investigate the source of the complaints leading to my ban more closely. I am requesting a conversation with the CEO of Nextdoor.com. - Michael Williams

Hello,
I recently received your communication regarding your services. I reside in a private community where unsolicited mail is not accepted. Unless this is resolved, I will need to reach out to the property manager. The fact that there is no contact number in your communication is concerning. I strongly suggest reaching out to me directly via phone. Having a phone conversation with a real person would help alleviate the skepticism around your practices. I also noticed that while you are based in California, your use of the British spelling "neighbours" raises some doubts. I am intrigued by what your company offers but remain cautious due to these red flags. I would appreciate a prompt response to clarify your intentions, as I am eager to understand more about your services despite my reservations.

My account has recently been suspended. I have thoroughly reviewed your guidelines and will definitely adhere to them moving forward. I am inquiring about the timeline for the reinstatement of my account and my business, which currently does not appear online. The suspension occurred due to a post where I defended someone involved in an accident against baseless assumptions that could harm their reputation. I promptly removed the post after realizing it violated your guidelines by asking for apologies. Please consider reinstating my account at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your attention.

I recently relocated from MN to FL and am currently renting from a landlord. Prior to my tenancy, a postcard was sent to the landlord. I have updated my address with Verizon, my phone carrier, and my credit card company, yet I am unable to get verified on Nextdoor. The verification process seems endless and frustrating, preventing me from utilizing the platform to find moving assistance as planned. Unfortunately, there is no contact number available for assistance. I hope to receive an email response to address this matter; otherwise, I may have to reconsider my usage and recommendation of Nextdoor. This situation has left me feeling very frustrated.
