The issue in GetHuman-mattreis's own words
Get a ride ... Lyft was having a lot of trouble placing my location at *** New Hampshire Avenue NW in Washington DC. I had three drivers cancel on me in the span of ** minutes or so because they were unable to find me despite me calling two of those drivers to provide detailed instructions about where I was, which was in front of the main entrance or the Watergate, something of a recognizable landmark in DC. One driver actually suggested I walk about * blocks to meet him instead or just coming to where I was. I think the problem is on Lyft's end because my GPS was able to correctly place my location both on the Lyft map and on other GPS apps. I ultimately had to call an Uber (far more expensive) which was able to find me right away. Might be something to look into.
I guess improve your GPS tracking? Otherwise Lyft will lose out on future rides of mine from that location. Short of that some free ride credits would be nice.
