Last week, my fianc* and I took a very uncomfortable Lyft ride in San Diego* this was on ****, with Joshua. I wrote a very short review from my phone, and I think I must have clicked on the wrong number of stars since I didn't receive any followup. **Josh was nice, I think. A sweet guy, in some ways. But he was almost scary, too: he started talking about how lost he felt, how his life was so screwed up. Said he was going back to school, but couldn't organize his thoughts, so bought a tape recorder. He started talking about God, about his purpose in life, and then said that he'd moved from Texas to San Diego because he was "messed up in the head, like conspiracy theory stuff." Then he described doing drugs with some people he met at Walmart, and having some sort of revelation about his role in the universe.... During this time, he was so caught up in the monologue that he took a wrong turn, and I have to admit that David and I both got a little alarmed. Just for a second, we worried that he wasn't going to take us where we wanted to go. He did, but when he stopped the car he kept talking, keeping us there. We felt rude breaking it off, but we were on a tight schedule and we were pretty spooked at this point. I think that he thought he was being lucid, but he really wasn't. He was piecing together scraps of thoughts, but his admission of mental health issues and drug usage made us uncomfortable. I'm sorry to be so slow getting in touch* we were finishing up an **** mile bike ride and just got home, just got to a real keypad. I don't like the idea of "snitching," but it was more than a little uncomfortable and I wanted to let you know. Thanks.
