I had a question about my savings account because it doesn't look like interest is accruing and I thought I chose a checking account that had a small, but present interest rate. I didn't feel like going down to a branch and standing in that line, so I decided to give KeyBank a call and see what they had to say.

When I called, an automated assistant immediately greeted me and said, "Thank you for calling Key. Please enter the last four digits of your social security number. Or to enter an account or card number, press 0." I called during my lunch break so I didn't have any information with me, so I opted to use my social security number. That however didn't work, because immediately after I entered my number, it said, "Please enter your KeyBank debit card number, or another KeyBank account or card number."
I was a little frustrated, but then immediately after it told me that I could alternatively press 0 to talk to a customer service agent which I opted to do. From here it said, "To get you to the right person, please choose from the following. For assistance with a checking, savings, or CD account, press 1. Credit card, press 2. Loan or line of credit, press 3. For fraudulent debit or credit card transactions, press 4. Banking online or mobile banking, press 5. Other accounts or questions, press 6."
I chose one since I needed to talk to someone about my account and was told, "Please hold for the next customer service representative." It took over twenty minutes of listening to elevator music, but then I was connected with a pleasant English-speaking agent who helped answer my questions.
