We have had a spat of break-ins within my neighborhood and while I think it's just a one-off occurrence, it has me thinking about home security. It may be time to look into ADT just so that I have peace of mind, which led me to do some research on different companies. ADT just kept popping out at me though because they are obviously one of the biggest name brands. I decided the best way to see was just by calling and talking to someone about my options.
ADT Security Services likely gets a lot of phone calls from people who want to start services or change services. I imagine they also have billing issues to deal with and other similar issues. Therefore, I didn't really know how long I would end up on the phone waiting, but I figured if I could get to someone within half an hour then it would be worth the wait. I don't know if I would have just hung up if it was longer, but it only ended up being a minute. I was quite impressed by that and its certainly something I will keep in mind when making my final decision.
When I first called, a recorded message greeted me with, "Welcome to ADT. To maintain excellent service all calls to and from ADT may be recorded. To start new ADT service for your home, press 1. For your business, press 2. For scheduled installation, press 3. If you are already an ADT customer, press 4." After I chose option 1 since I wanted a new service, the automated assistant responded, "Please enter your five-digit zip code to see if you qualify for any promotions in your area."
It then confirmed the zip code by reading it back to me and informed me that my call may be monitored or recorded for training purposes. I settled back to wait for a minute, but the hold music didn't even start to play before an agent picked up. Almost instantly I heard, "Thank you for calling ADT Security Services, my name is Alexa, who do I have the pleasure of speaking with?"
Not only was I quite pleased with the quick response time, but Alexa spoke very clear English and was able to answer all of my questions. They were extremely helpful and addressed all of my concerns in a friendly manner. I was impressed with the service and with the timely nature of my call, so I have a lot to think about now.
