i go to jcpennys all the time and purchased multiple gift cards through this company for friends and family. Today i was a little upset with the service felt like i was rushed through the line. there was only one “happy birthday” gift card left which i picked that last one i had picked up a couple shirts as well for my fathers birthday. after the lady rang up the two shirts i went to give her the gift card and was going to tell her that i wanted to put some money on it before i had the chance to say anything the lady ripped it out of my hands and took the gift card off that cardboard part and scratched the back of it and told me to swipe the card and once again when i went to tell her i wanted to purchase it interrupted to tell me that once i swipe it will take off whatever was on the gift card ( as if i didnt know how a gift card worked) so i interrupted her and told her that i was trying to purchase the gift card. I know its just a gift card but now my dad has a gift card on it with donuts all over it instead of a happy birthday one. you guys need to educate the staff that they should take a little more time with their customers instead of rushing. it doesnt take long to say hi how are you or how is your day going or something ask if you are purchasing or using the gift card instead of assuming and ripping it out of someones hands.
