Dears at IKEA,*Hope my email finds you well.**I am about to move to a new apartment, so obviously I need some furniture for the new place. I looked for quality and good price. You know it is a sale season everywhere nowadays. I found really good deals at many stores (big names just like IKEA). I choose IKEA like I did last year when I moved out. I was happy with my decision until I received a call * days ago from IKEA to tell me that the Sofas you have bought are not available anymore! What?! It is been * weeks since I paid you for that sofas! My wife and I were really excited to get the sofas! What shall we do now, go look for another deal in different stores? Most of the good stuff are sold out now. Obviously, it is the end of the season. We are very disappointed because of what happened and lost faith in IKEA. My money was in hold for Saudi IKEA for almost * weeks (the delivery time) and guess what, I got nothing? Why did you withdraw the money then? Why didn’t you tell me that the sofa is out of stock in the first place? Why did you accept the payment and take my money for nothing? They left me with no choice but cancel the order! I made it clear that I have no problem to wait up to * month to get the sofas, however, they said we cannot guaranty that. I still did not get my money. I tried to raise a complain calling the complains extension (*************) but no answer. I called after-sale (same phone number but different extension) to let them know about my situation with the complains extension and that no one is picking my calls (I called * times) she didn’t believe me and kept saying that the customer-care representatives are in their offices and will be happy to receive your call!!! Is that how you treat your loyal customers? I used to buy my things from IKEA (from the stores or online since I was studying in the US and now from Riyadh and Dhahran Stores in Saudi Arabia. I really like your products and enjoy assembling them with my friends*wife. I really had good memories. It seems that they will go forever! Now, I am forced to leave you guys for another brand because of the bad customer experience I had this year had last year (the delivery was behind schedule for last-year buy and I needed to make many calls and raised many complains to get the stuff delivered). I don’t know what is wrong with Saudi IKEA and why they are not getting the lessons and learning from their mistakes.
