To whom it may concern,**I'm writing this email to complain about a existing order made in store. I completed the order XXXXX on October **th **** at the Brooklyn store and paid the amount of *,***.**$ at the cashier. The delivery was expected to be on October **rd. I took a day-off in order to receive this order of ** packages. The D day, * hour before the end of the timing period they gave me the day before, I received a notification from XPO logistic stating that my delivery got delayed and rescheduled for the **th. I was already upset because I had to take another day-off!! As a compensation I asked for a refund of the delivery fee.**The **th of October, (*) the truck arrived *h late, (*) all the items delivered were in very bad condition (damaged boxes, no plastic around chairs, etc), (*) the delivery men was mean AND (*) cherry on the cake, * items were missing and * item was delivered to my apartment whereas it is not even my name on the box!!!! **Following this dramatic event during my DAY-OFF, I spent * hour on the phone with the customer representative from IKEA to get everything fixed. I also ask for a new compensation and received non significant gift card to spend in a IKEA store. Nevertheless, the person on the phone was very kind and helped me get everything fixed: I received an email with a new order (XXXXXXX) with the * missing items * the picking up of the wrong item. I was still upset because the earliest delivery date available was * days after (meaning the *rd of November). Furthermore, I really needed those items before this date, and especially the sofa, in order to host friends from abroad (I had to cancel and they had to PAY an Airbnb). By the way, the representative gave me * case numbers (XXXXXXand XXXXX).**This afternoon, the *nd of November (* day before the expected delivery), I was worried because I did not received any email from IKEA stating that the delivery was shipped from the IKEA Distribution Center. So I decided to call XPO Logistics. They did not received any notification about the order XXXXXXX, nor any other order related to my name, address or phone number.**So I called IKEA customer service and was connected to an agent after * attempts. The representative told me that there was an issue (AGAIN!!???) with my order since the previous representative did it the wrong way. So, I'm currently still waiting for a confirmed delivery date, which is "EXPECTED" to be on Saturday the **th. The representative split the order into * different orders: the pick-up of the wrong item, which is XXXXXXXX confirmed on the **th, and the delivery (XXXXXX) which has a pending status regarding the delivery date (no email received??). **Comment: I won't take another day-off AND the building I'm staying at (the delivery address) has restricted moving hours (until *pm and no Sunday), leading us the only option of Saturday before *pm.**I shared with you this terrible experience in order for you to take action. **- First of all, could you please make sure that the missing items of my original order XXXXXX will be delivered properly in time.*- I forget to mention to the representative that the screws of the item XXXXXXX were missing due to the damage of the package.*- Finally I'm waiting from you a commercial action and preferably a refund of the whole order in view of all facts mentioned above.**Thank you in advance for taking action.**Clement Le Guern**** *** ****
