Order ********* has been delayed by the shipper. They say IKEA has not sent the items but IKEA says they shipped the items on the Second. I was scheduled to receive my order on the Fourth and took that day off of work to accommodate the delivery. The order never came. I received another call to inform me that while IKEA showed the order being shipped, the shipper hadn't actually received anything and that the order would be delivered either later that day or the following day, so the order would be delivered the following day. Again, I took off work to accommodate the schedule and never received the order nor a follow-up call. I called IKEA and the number would not work. I called the shipped and was never called back. Finally, after holding for over one-hundred and sixty minutes, we spoke to a very unpleasant shipping agent named Shavonna who reluctantly informed us our "order is just sitting in the parking lot with the rest of the trucks." She went on to inform us she has no idea when it will be unloaded and couldn't be bothered to offer any help on getting us our order nor any information regarding our then five-day missing order. We insisted on being passed to a supervisor and were informed none was available and that one would call us back tomorrow. (Tomorrow came. No call.) We finally got through to IKEA and held for another ninety minutes before speaking with an agent named Timothy. He was much more understanding and assured us that a different department would resolve our problem and that though the hold time would be lengthy, they would get to us and help us. He transferred us and we held another fifty-five minutes before the call dropped. Now our order has been missing for seven days. I have taken off work to receive these items but there is, as of now, no eta for delivery from the shipper. We find this completely unacceptable and not within the standards we associate with IKEA. This is not simply the shipper's responsibility. We ordered from and paid our money to IKEA. We would like to be contacted by a Supervisor immediately.
