Using networked CD drive to install H&R Block software (**********)**Windows ** laptop with no CD drive, wi-fi connection to other Windows ** laptop with CD drive, network and sharing permissions set up correctly so that CD drive CAN be read over network* installing mailed software from Block using network shared drive* install app starts, then gets an error message saying that a file (C:*Users*jalla*AppData*Roaming*formsApp*HR Block *****index.html) is not ALREADY on the C: drive, even though it shouldn't be since I'm just now installing the software. Forced to quit the install before seeing any prompts to enter codes of any kind.**Is the install program set up NOT TO ALLOW installation from a CD over my network? Is there a bug that doesn't allow it? Would my keeping the prior two years' versions on my hard drive be the problem?**I have detailed notes I can send via email (.txt file) if that would help in the debugging. Thanks for trying to help. The next step would be to buy a USB CD*DVD drive, since an earlier attempt to purchase the software online resulted in a higher price quote than on the mailed CD, and rejection of the coupon code that came with the CD.
