Groupon no longer offers phone support so you will need to contact them online. Sign in to the link about after clicking on "About an order" and then select the option to initiate a return or refund.
The issue in GetHuman-jdeschle's own words
We purchased a Giovanni's Ristorante Groupon Dinner for two with wine. The Groupon had no restrictions regarding dine-in or carryout dining. When the pandemic hit, I called Giovanni's and spoke to a manager. I was told the groupon could be used on both dine-in and carryout (including wine) orders and the expiration date was extended to ********. I tried to redeem the groupon with Giovanni's on ********. After placing my food order the employee placed me on hold to check what wine was eligible in their offer. A man named Chris got on the line and said the groupon was now, "Covid dine-in only." I tried to explain what the manager previously said and Chris got louder and kept yelling, "Covid dine-in only." Our doctor has told us do not dine in restaurants during this pandemic. We are not going to go against our doctor's advice. We have been following our doctor's advice and still supporting restaurants by using their carryout or curbside services. We have always enjoyed dining at Giovanni's. And although Chris's behavior was very rude and nasty, we will still give Giovanni's one more opportunity to honor their groupon offer on our carryout order. If they continue to refuse to do so, we want a full refund of the $**.** we spent for the Giovanni's groupon.
