I purchased a Groupon for a cut, touch up and blow out at Insignia Salon in Walnut Creek, several weeks ago. The exact amount was around $**-** but I’d have to check my account to be sure. Because it was a different service than the first Groupon I purchased at that salon, I didn’t know that they would not let me redeem it until I got there. I assumed that if I wasn’t allowed to use another Groupon there, then Groupon would have alerted me of that with a ‘pop up’ before I bought it. But I understand it was in the fine print. In fact, on the contrary, emails from Groupon were encouraging me to make an apointment at Insignia. Little did I know, I was being tricked. When I arrived, Insignia salon made me pay the full price for the treatment and said if I wanted to get a credit on Groupon, then I should submit a request. It felt like a scam. If I can’t get a full refund from Groupon, i would at least like to be able to use the amount I didn’t use at Insignia hair salon, for another purchase on Groupon. Otherwise, I will have just lost $***down the drain. Now that I understand how Groupon really works, I will not make this mistake again. Thank you for your consideration of my request for credit.
