on Sunday, **** I was in contact with two different people claiming they were Microsoft. I was blocked in my own computer and was showing me to call a phone number for Microsoft. Once I contact them I was told that my computer was being hacked and I didn't have any kind of virus protection or a firewall. They presented me with the charges of an IP Protector and a Firewall for the total amount of $***.**. I was instructed to purchase a google card for that amount. I thought I was doing the right thing in trying to protect my computer and all my personal info. When I gave them the number on the card for some reason they were not able to complete the transaction. These people then requested that I go back and get * cards for the amount of $*** each. At that point I said no until my money would be reimbursed I'd do that. At this time I don't believe they were able to obtain the money due to problems with the number in the car and I'm stuck with a google play card for the amount of $*** that is no use for me. How can I find out that this money remains in this card and how can I get my money back. Unfortunately, I bought this at a Walgreens and they don't do any refunds. I am on a fixed income and I cannot afford to just have $*** in a card that I can't use no where else. I have the names of each individual with phone numbers and tech ID numbers. I also received an email from a Google Team advising that my money will be refunded within the next ** to ** hours. At this point I'm not sure if this email address is a true google address. *****@***.com. I have a confirmation number and signed by Billing department at Google Support Team. Can someone please help with this matter?
