I've been trying to contact Facebook to communicate with them the problem, complaint &*or issue I've experienced due to the purchase I made from an *advertisement I viewed on the* Facebook website. ... Found this ad posted on Facebook a month ago. Clicked on it & it took me to their legitimate-looking website. They listed this "Ultra Portable Folding Power Wheelchair" priced at $***. I purchased this item & charged it to my American Express credit card. They sent me a confirmation email of my purchase. A few days later they sent me another confirmation email confirming shipping this item to me. I usually wait * or * days before checking the tracking of any item I purchase online. When I finally checked the tracking of this item I was shown a defunct website with a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in the center followed by the words "Oops, something went wrong". So, I clicked on the original ad which I initially saw on Facebook & I was taken to the same defunct website. I always assumed Facebook not only approved but also stood behind products advertised*posted on their website. Turns out Facebook is playing dumb & wants nothing to do with the problems Facebook users experience which is caused by their website. Facebook does NOT even offer any way to be contacted... no phone number, no email, absolutely nothing! Instead, Facebook offers you the opportunity to share your problems, complaints &*or issues with others in "The Community" in a forum type setting which basically never leads to a solution & more importantly never offers any way of contacting &*or involving Facebook. This is how Facebook handles or shall I say avoids problems, complaints, issues & negative confrontation from Facebook users but Facebook doesn't mind collecting fees they charge to promote fraudulent ads on their website! Doesn't this make Facebook an accomplice to anything fraudulent* that occurs on their website?
Facebook doesn't realize anything. Facebook hasn't given me the opportunity or ability to contact them in any form whatsoever. So far, Facebook hasn't heard &*or even allowed me to speak about my problem, complaint &*or issue because they don't offer a way to communicate with them... not by email, no phone number or any other way.
I'd like Facebook to at least acknowledge the problem I'm experiencing from the ad I viewed while on the Facebook website. A better resolution would be that Facebook would assist with my recovering the funds I lost $***. The best scenario would be if Facebook would take full responsibility & refund the full amount I lost. Basically, it was Facebook's negligence for allowing this fraudulent activity to occur on their website. Facebook should be taking better precaution before selling advertising space to fraudulent culprits on their website.
I'm a regular Facebook user who doesn't cause problems & I purchase legitimate products advertised on Facebook website. Without people like me who purchase items advertised on the Facebook website,* Facebook wouldn't have a market to offer advertisers.
Yes, I shared the original ad on Facebook along with my comment on how Facebook isn't taking responsibility for allowing this fraudulent activity to occur & allows them to take advantage of Facebook users. Facebook is doing the same thing as the folks behind the product which I didn't receive. Facebook doesn't offer any way to be contacted, no phone number, no email, absolutely nothing. Facebook becomes an accomplice
