About ** days ago my application for an apartment was declined based on information on my Experian credit report which I believe to be inaccurate. I requested reports from all three credit record companies and got immediate access to my TransUnion and Equifax accounts have not been able to access my Experian. My Credit Karma account only has information from TransUnion and Equifax which reflect derogatory information. A credit card charge off with a large balance belonging to my deceased mother which I had no responsibility for, since I was not a co-signer. I filed a dispute with TransUnion and Equifax on *******. TransUnion notified me on **** that the account information was removed from my credit record. I have received notifications from Equifax that they are working on it. After a week and numerous attempts online and by phone I have yet to obtain access to my Experian credit record I am thus unable to file a dispute to clear my record. I opened an account at Experian so that I could access my account. I have made countless attempts to do this on there App and website. The response is, we are unable to establish your identity or we are unable to access your report.I also requested that a copy of my report be mailed to me and I uploaded my identity documents to their website as directed. I have also called about ** different phone numbers at Experian almost all are automated requesting your ID verification menu choices are report fraud or a recorded voice with general information, there is no option to get to a human being. I did eventually speak to a person who told me that they could not assist me with my online requests, I just had to wait up to ** days to receive my report in the mail. At this point I have lost the apartment I applied for since the complex relies on the information provided by Experian to First Advantage Background check. The only recourse is to contact Experian to correct my record.
