I had booked my flight from edi to lgw at **:** a week in advance and fully expected make that flight. The reason for this flight was because I live in gosport and work in fife, but I absolutely needed to be home to care for my children the next day. This flight provided adequate time for me to get home and have my children the next day. I was informed at around **:** on the morning of the flight that there was fog in London but this would not affect my departure time but I may be pushed out from the gate and placed in a que. this was fine, after all how does fog first thing in the morning affect a flight at **.**? I had arranged transport to the air port and was on my way there when my flight was cancelled roughly * hours before departure. I was offered an * alternative flights but neither would have got me to my destination in time to provide care for my children. I opted for a refund but had no other choice but to hire a car and drive to gosport. I have submitted a compensation form for my incurred expenses but have not yet heard a decision. The reference number for this claim is Case ID: ********* ** ** Reference ID: ********* **. This has left my finances very stretched this month to say the least, in fact I have been unable to pay some of my bills as a result and I have companies chasing me for payment. I am very dissatisfied with the service I have received from easyJet of the ** flights I have taken in the months of September and October * have beet delayed and this latest one cancelled, I am now reluctant to travel with this airline and check other airlines before using easyJet. As a gesture of goodwill I would ask you if you would look into my case as a matter of urgency and inform me on the decision.**Kind regards*Mr Aarron Stevens
