Yesterday my day started out fantastically, until for $*.** spent at Dunkin Donuts in Clearwater, FL on *-**-***** I bought into a host of issues! The first encounter was waiting upon my entrance to the restaurant for someone to service me. Finally after a few minutes, a young man came to the register and asked me what I wanted* seemed he was not very socially connected however I gave him my single order as he appeared to be ignoring me. Only after would he ask me to repeat it because he said he'd been listening to his headset. I repeated my order and he put it in, then walked away. I walked over to the end of the counter where one waits for their order. After approximately * minutes waiting, I could see two lady employees serving the drive-up passing back*fortha a bag, as if they didn't know what it was for. I got the attention of the young man who'd taken my order and asked him and he robotically stated (apparently again not listening to my request) all orders come out of the back as he pointed towards the back area. That was no help. But a couple minutes later the gal at the drive-up window noticed me and as I began to ask if that bag might be mine, she immediately nodded yes and handed it to me. A bit of an experience for trying to get a quick sandwich and get on with my day!**As it turned out a few minutes down the road into my ride I opened the sandwich to enjoy and noticed immediately it was NOT the sandwich I'd ordered. It was egg and cheese on english muffin. I turned my vehicle around and drove back to the restaurant. I was upset because ** its the wrong order and **, I felt as though I was being totally ignored as a customer. I went into the restaurant and up to the area of pick-up and the girl at the drive up window immediately looked at me and mouthed what, did I give you the wrong one? I slammed down the bag on the metal countertop and began to shout at her that yes, this is not what I ordered! Turns out the manager was with the young man at the register and after a few seconds walked over, picked up the bag with the wrong item in it and then asked to see my receipt. I told him what I'd ordered and he requested to see the receipt! "I said you've got to be kidding me, the receipt is in the car." The girl verified the mistake and the manager demanded I still go get the receipt! This was absurd!!! Once I returned he did not even care to see the receipt and handed me a bag with the properly ordered item in it. I told him I wanted his name and he refused to provide it, made a snide remark and walked away, out of site. I inquired from the girl at the drive-up window, who looked out back at him and was being told not to give it to me. I asked her to get a manager and she reported he was the manager. I left feeling very upset and honestly could not eat that sandwich because I've heard too many stories about what angry people do to customers, they don't like. He certainly would not be any exception, given his behavior!!! Today that sandwich is sitting in my trash container.**That supposed manager, by far was one of the rudest individuals working in customer service, I have ever encountered. Not once was any apology made and the fact he made me go retrieve the receipt, is ridiculous when he's holding the sandwich in hand and can see it's not what I'm telling him I ordered. Many managers given that price mark will just make the order as requested and apologize. NOT THIS GUY! This guy should be fired, he has zero for social skills and definately misses the mark for any customer service techniques! The skillset in that store was lacking in so many ways! Many of us, know "management" is key to success!**This incident cost me extra time, extra travel, emotional upset and not getting any edible breakfast! I will NEVER return to that DD, ever!*I would like this fixed by refund of my $*.** in check form and "several" free Bacon, egg and cheese croissants, that I will go elsewhere to enjoy!**Sincerely,**Nancy Thibodeau****-***-****
