I have spent the last * weeks addressing this issue to no avail. On Aug. **, **** I called the retention dept to see if I could have my bill reduced as my bill had increased by $** as the previous promotion ended. The rep was kind enough to work with me and reduce the bill. Later that day my wife attempted to record a program on the Tivo in our second bedroom and was unable to, not only was she unable to record, but she was unable to rewind, pause etc. I tried to record on the whole home genie and was unable to perform any of those functions as well. I contacted customer service, they attempted to fix the problem over the phone to no avail. They said they would escalate the problem up to the technical dept and it would take *-* days to fix the problem. The problem was never fixed or addressed. I called back and the tech dept attempted to fix the problem again via phone to no avail. I was then told that they needed to send a tech out to fix the problem. I told the the rep that I did not think that would fix the problem as I believed the problem was on Directv's end. I believe that the account was somehow coded as a business acct as anytime you try to record, pause or rewind, you get the following error: Some features and functionality are unavailable due to the type of account you have. Please visit direct.com*business for more info. The tech was sent out anyway and he could not see anything wrong on my end. I called again to get this issue addressed I explained the situation all over again and they again tried to fix the issue over the phone to no avail, the rep then said they would send a tech out to replace the genie and the Tivo an that should fix the problem. That did not fix the problem and we got the same error. Last call the rep on the tech dept said she contacted someone in regards to the coding on the account and they would fix it so that it showed a customer account and not a business account and it would take *-* days. Here we are and the issue has still not been addressed. I am paying for a service I can't use and I am pissed off. If I don't get resolution real soon I am cancelling this account. Someone needs to fix this immediately. My patience is past running thin. **Attry Pettway (*********)
