There is no activation code on the box the SIM card came in. How do I activate the phone? I entered the IMEI number but did not get any response that indicates the phone is activated. This is bad business practice.

How GetHuman4236793 fixed the problem
I tried to activate my new cell phone online. The website did not inform me if activation occurred or not. So I called CC Friday and the robots told me long waiting time, call back would be Saturday morning. I did not set up callback but called Saturday morning and was told long waiting time, call back would be Sunday morning. I set call back for *AM PST Sunday. Then on Saturday I went on Chat and resolved the issue - which required finding the account number of my previous provider, Virgin Mobile. The Chat person activated my phone immediately and I am able to use my new phone. I asked him to cancel the Sunday morning call back. At *AM PST on Sunday CC called me. So you can guess which of a number of possibilities went wrong at the CC side. Your customer service leaves a LOT to be desired.
