I have made a complaint about Britannia hotel East Didsbury regarding a reservation yesterday evening where my wife stayed I recieved appalling service from the hotel do I contacted booking.com I recieved a curt phone from customer services lm from someone called Rob who basically spoke over me when I was attempting to explain the horrendous treatment my wife recieved from the hotel where a female guest in the room next door was physically assaulted. The person called Rob would not let me explain how distressing it was for my wife and the fear she felt with the assault to the female in the room next to hers and downplayed the whole issue stating I should have read the reviews about the hotel prior to booking the room . When I attempted o inform this Rob that the hotel staff were not interested in my complaint and that the receptionist had actually laughed at me when I informed him of the commotion in the room verbal assault physical assault throwing of furniture this Rob from booking.com spoke over me and wouldn't allow me to make any points and was discourteous and rude . I informed "Rob" that I am a valid customer who has never had any issue with any hotels before and had used booking .com all over the world and was appalled at the way I had been treated by Britannia hotel he stated well " Dont expect any refund or an apology and what did I expect booking.com to do . I replied its NOT booking.com I had an issue with I just wanted to he able to state my concern regarding the treatment of my self and my wife by the hotel but wasnt allowed to do so because "Rob" just spoke over me in a rude and derogatory way, reiterating that the hotel had nothing to be approached about and was more intent in supporting and defending the hotel and staff than allowing me to make a complaint and have my point of view heard. I stated that I realised that I wouldn't get monetary recompense as my wife had stayed the night but I wanted an apology from the hotel due to the way I was treated initially when I rang the hotel to complain but again "Rob" stated that wony happen but booking.com can apologise on the hotels behalf but that is not good enough as up to that point I had no issue with booking.com only the hotel reception staff who laughed at my complaint . Now I do have an issue with booking.com employee Rob who I stated was argumentative rude , and totally devoid of any understanding of what had occurred when I requested to speak further to someone about the treatment of himself towards me he said " im not going to discuss this further I've done what im supposed to have done and rang you " which I find appalling when I said im not happy with his attitude and support in this matter he said " I'm not listening any more" I requested his surname so I could complain about his attitude he said " I'm not giving you my surname I dont have to " I said it would be courteous tonotovidd me with a surname but again "Rob " replied w*"Well I'm not giving it to you " *If this is your customer services it leaves a lot to be desired. *I dont expect any understanding in this matter or any agreed result because frankly I believe I have been treated appallingly by the hotel booking.com represents and by your own customer services
