I made a reservation through booking.com at the Republic Inn. I contacted the property to inquire as to whether not they had a female only room available for me to which they responded yes they did and that I should cancel my reservation through booking.com and book directly through them. I did that and I checked into the property yesterday around * pm. I had a very pleasant time there I went to my doctors appointments return to the property made friends with some of the guests and generally kept to myself but was providing a very positive atmosphere and I thought that the hosts of the inn were very receptive to me and were being very generous and gracious and I express my gratitude towards them for keeping such a wonderful and inviting atmosphere for their g I had a very pleasant time there I went to my doctors appointments return to the property made friends with some of the guests and generally kept to myself but was providing a very positive atmosphere and I thought that the hosts of the inn were very receptive to me and were being very generous and gracious and I express my gratitude towards them for keeping such a wonderful and inviting atmosphere for their guests. At one point I was singing to another gas outside and the mail owner of the establishment banged on the wall and glared at me as if to tell me to be quiet. I was quite shaken by his actions and stop singing immediately. Later on in the evening many of the guests had dinner and dessert and drinks outside on the back patio. At some point I left the group and went to the front patio to sit by myself and meditate. I noticed that there were several other guests around the property engaging in different activities, one was on their phone another was enjoying a few drinks on the porch and there was another few people were still on the back patio. I talked to one of the guests who is going through a health crisis her self and she mentioned that she had been diagnosed with MS and I was providing some support to her. She went inside to go to sleep and then a few minutes after she went up I did as well. In the morning I woke up and the male owner of the establishment abruptly entered the girls dorm and told me that I had to leave and would be given a refund. I immediately began having heart palpitations and lost my ability to stand. When I checked in I had informed them that I was disabled and just coming from the hospital. They acknowledged my condition and noted that they would be more than happy to host me. At that moment one of the workers got me water and offered food. I asked her to find out why they were cancelling my * night reservation? She said she would find out and that it was most likely a misunderstanding. She had spent much of the evening with me and was delighted by me so she too was confused. As soon as I came downstairs she was telling me that they would be refunding me and that I had to leave. The owner said “this is my family home and I can’t have you here sitting on the porch late af night listening to music.” I said I wasn’t listening to music - there were other people outside and I was sitting quietly meditating and looking at the moon. He insisted on this lie and proceeded to tell me I had to leave. In the meantime, my card has been frozen due to a fraudulent charge, and I asked them to please understand that I wasn’t expecting this I had already paid for four nights and needed time to sort out my bank account. I asked if they would book and alternate venue for me and they refused, once again insisting that the property was a family home. I was under the distinct impression that it was a hostel. I’ve been taken advantage of and now I am unable to book another room. Please have someone contact me immediately. I need lodgings immediately and my health is failing.
