I purchased a MacBook Pro from Best Buy, and had a protection plan for years. But I only used the protection plan a few times. So it didn't seem to justify having to pay for it. I spent a few thousand dollars for this laptop. I contacted the Geek Squad and spoke to a Jose online with their Geek Squad, and after explaing that I was a former protection plan holder and that I had purchased this laptop from them, I wanted a malware and virus scan remotely done by them. I was told since I no longer had an active protection plan, that they couldn't help me. Then I got an email asking about my experience with Jose. I was unhappy about it, so I was told to speak with another associate. I was refused again. I have purchased several laptops, a desktop, printers, etc from Best Buy. But no loyalty after the sale. If i'm spending money, i'm valuable, but if I "spent" money, i'm worthless to Best Buy.
