I came into your store today in Fort Gratiot Michigan with my children as one of them wanted to use his First Communion money to buy a new iPod Touch. **I asked the Best Buy sales associate about them and she said “We don’t have any out here for your kids to play with” I politely stated we were looking to purchase one. So she took us to the desk and held two different ones up and when I reached for one she pulled it back and I had to let her know that I would like to look at it before it was purchased and she reluctantly handed it to me. **She told me that the iPod that my son was wanting “costs $***” in a very condescending tone so I told her we would look around and come back and she gave me a look like she figured the price was out of my league and to move on. **We walked to another section of the store and waited for her to walk away then approached another associate and they politely answered my son's and my questions about the iPod and my * year old son pulled out all of his money and bought it while the other girl walked over while we were paying. I politely thanked them both for their time and we walked out. **It has been a long time since I have been treated like a piece of gutter trash in a store by an associate (by anyone really) and rather than be upset about it, I find it very sad that people still feel the need to treat others in a manner to make them feel inadequate or underserving of certain things that they assume are out of their league. **I am a Program Manager at a respected Design Build Firm and, for me, the cost of the iPod does not cause financial strain but for my * year old son that was every penny that he had to his name. I suggested that we leave the store and make the purchase somewhere else but he had been saving, and with his communion money, he finally had enough to cover the item. Something that should have been a great experience for him (and me) ended up being tainted by the service in the store. **I have made many purchases in store at Best Buy but based on this past run in, coupled with other poor service, I am hesitant to shop in store again. I was not sure whether to post this on your site but based on the response from my earlier personal post it seems that I am not the only one who has had this experience. **I welcome the opportunity to speak to someone at the store if this is something that your company would like to discuss. **Thank you
