my flight to Syracuse new york from Montrose Co. was delayed leaving Monrose on ****. I missed my connection at Chicago O'hare as a result of the delay and needed to take a next morning flight. I was issued a hotel voucher, and the hotel was fully booked. I was told to go back to the customer service desk to get a new voucher. this was *pm and I was not sure a mile walk back to the service desk would do any good. I went to the Hilton across the street from the airport and booked a room. i was told that Hilton would not honor the voucher from American (although the family in front of me in line used a voucher that American had issued for that hotel.) I was learned from the AA website that I needed to email a form, with all information, requesting a refund for the hotel cost. I sent this in to AA on August *, and have had no response. AA customer service (??) reservations told me that there is not ANY phone number to contact them and that I must write, fax, of email to get information. I am reluctant to take this approach, as it does not give me any feedback as to whether this had been received, and will be addressed. How best to proceed from here?
