The issue in GetHuman-nsnsns's own words
Yesterday afternoon I was looking at the Agoda site for a potential booking in St Petersburg at The Avalon. I was comparing it with two other sites. I knew I had extra discounts on the Agoda site which weren’t showing up on the initial offer page. Where it said slide to book I did so to see what my additional discount comparison tallied the booking as (*% and $** off... and which was better and were either better than my other sites, which they weren’t). As the Agoda price was about $**-$** more than my other sites, I shut it and moved on. At no stage was I prompted to enter my credit card, which I have done on EVERY other booking for this upcoming US trip, and I NEVER select for a site to keep my details, as you will see from my records with Agoda. I just closed the site when it was apparent that your price wasn’t in the running for me. That was ****pm local time. At *:**pm local time, I finally confirmed the best deal for me and booked it (on another site). On opening my emails this evening, it says I made two PURCHASES yesterday afternoon, and the booking is for Avalon and is non refundable. Then I investigate further (I have screen shots) and my credit card number is stored in your system. I go to your privacy policy and it says you can collect c*card details, but I have understood that as being at the time of the booking for THAT booking alone, and until now, I have always been prompted to enter my c*card details on EVERY booking. I am absolutely livid, and distressed as I don’t want your booking, I don’t need it, I didn’t approve it, I didn’t approve you to continually save my c*card details, I have a far cheaper booking for the same hotel which, as I was always looking for, is refundable if I need AND when I came back to your site, it still chowed (and I have screen shots again) “still looking for your booking in St Petersburg?’ I did NOT authorise this booking and I want it cancelled with No financial penalty, my monies refunded and my credit card details REMOVED from your system!!! Post haste please!*Nix
