Aug 15, 2023

Increasing your trading portfolio depends on being able to add funds to your investment account. As an eToro trader, you may ask yourself how to transfer funds into your account and increase your holdings. You can get more information on account management by calling eToro investor support here, and below are ways to transfer money into your trading account.

Adding Money to Your eToro Account

To add money to your eToro trading account, follow these steps:

  1. Open eToro on your device and log into your account.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select "Deposit Funds."
  3. Enter the amount of money to deposit.
  4. Choose the preferred payment method for the funds from one of the four available methods for United States investors.
  5. Enter the information requested and complete the transfer.

There are minimum and maximum amounts for transfers into the account based on the payment method as listed below. The time it takes for the deposit to be credited to your account also varies based on the payment method.

  • Debit cards are available for immediate use. The minimum amount is $10, and the maximum is $40,000 per transaction.
  • Electronic bank drafts are also available for immediate use. The minimum is $10, and the maximum is $10,000 per transaction.
  • The third method available immediately is PayPal, with a $10 minimum and a $10,000 per transaction maximum.
  • Wire transfers can take four to seven business days, but the minimum and maximum are much higher at $500 and $1,000,000, respectively.
  • If this is your first time making a deposit, the minimum is $10, and the maximum is $10,000 per day.

Setting Up Recurring Deposits

You can set up recurring deposits to transfer money into your eToro account by doing the following:

  1. Open eToro on your device and log into your account.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select "Recurring Deposits."
  3. Click "Recurring Deposits" again on the new window that opens.
  4. Set the amount for the deposits.
  5. Select a debit card that you have previously used to make eToro deposits.
  6. Choose how often you want the recurring deposit to occur.
  7. You can accept the default option or customize the day of the week or month the deposit will occur.
  8. Review and accept the terms and conditions.
  9. Click "Set Recurring" to lock in the process.

Setting recurring deposits can help build your portfolio on a set schedule; however, this is not for everyone. eToro accounts can have funds easily added with just a few clicks. For more information or assistance with your deposits, call eToro investor support.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for eToro Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
