How to Close Your eBay Account
To close your eBay account, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your account and click the "My eBay" on the top right corner of the page. From the page that opens, click "Account". On this page, click "Close Account". It is under the "Account preferences" heading. You will be led to a page outlining the closure process. Please read the information carefully. They contain the terms and conditions of closing your account.
- After reading the information, scroll down the page and click the "Close account and delete my data" button. You'll be asked to provide a reason for closing your account, including security concerns, business reasons, personal reasons, billing issues, request to delete personal data, frustration using the website and account issues.
- Select the most appropriate reason. You will then be led into more refined reasons under each of the above categories. After selecting the most appropriate reason, click the "Continue" button at the bottom

That's it. You've successfully closed your eBay account. Be aware that it can take up to 60 days to delete all of your data permanently. If you change your mind, you have seven days from when you requested to close your account to cancel the request.
