  3. Enter the last four digits of your social security number, date of birth and zip code in the lower text fields.

How To Change Your Password for an Institutional Account

If you have an institutional account, follow these instructions to reset your password:

  1. Go to the Vanguard Forgot Username or Password page for institutional accounts.
  2. If you forgot your username as well as your password, you need to recover it before you can recover your password. If you have not forgotten it, skip to step 8.
  3. Select "I forgot my username."
  4. Click on the Continue button.
  5. Enter the requested information.
  6. Answer the security questions.
  7. Check the email you used to sign up for Vanguard. It will have an email with your username in it.
