Follow this guide to list your property on Vrbo so you can start renting and earning an income from your empty property.
Listing your property on Vrbo should take around 30 minutes. You can only list a whole-home rental, where the renter has the entire property to themselves, not hotel-style properties, single rooms in a home, or shared spaces.
To complete the process, you'll also need any permits, licenses, and tax registration required by your local jurisdiction.
Launch your phone or computer browser and go to www.vrbo.com
Click List your property at the top of the page.
You now need to begin providing details about your rental property. Use the + and - buttons to enter the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Click Continue.
Enter the location in the text box and add a unit number if applicable. Click Next.
Enter the rental property's full address details in the relevant fields, including country, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Scroll down and click Next.
You must now create a Vrbo account. Enter your email address in the text box and click Continue.
Check your inbox for a message from Vrbo. If nothing appears, look in your spam/junk folder. Open the message, return to your browser, and enter the 6-digit code in the text box. Click Continue.
Create a password to use with Vrbo and other Expedia accounts. Your password should be 12-64 characters long and contain at least one:Capital letterLowercase letterSpecial characterNumberOnce you've chosen a password, hit Create password.
Enter your full name and contact details in the relevant fields. Click Continue.
You should see a page welcoming you and saying "Let's create your listing together." Depending on your browser, you may need to sign in to the Vrbo account you've just created.
Once on the welcome page, click Next.
Follow the on-screen instructions to enter all the details about your rental property. After completing a page, scroll down and hit Next. Actions include:Checking the boxes next to all amenities

Once you've entered all the information, accepted Vrbo's T&Cs, and are ready to receive bookings, select Go live. Your property will then be listed on Vrbo and available for people to book.
When you're ready to use Vrbo to help rent out your empty property, follow the steps above to create a listing and connect with people looking to rent a vacation home in your area.

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
