How Do I Remove My TripAdvisor Review?

TripAdvisor allows individuals to rate and review hotels, rental cars, attractions, restaurants or other business or entities (such as flights, cruises or other travel) they have visited. It is a way for others to find out what people are saying about a business. If you have written a TripAdvisor review and want to make changes to it or cancel it, what steps do you take? Editing a Review

If you have written a review and want to go back and edit it, be aware that there currently is not a feature that allows you to go in and edit your review. You will have to delete the review and submit the new, edited version of the review for it to show up on the TripAdvisor website again.

Removing a Review

To remove your review from TripAdvisor, follow these steps:

1. In your browser, open TripAdvisor.
2. Log into your TripAdvisor account.
3. Select the review you wish to delete.
4. In the upper right corner of the review box, click on the three dots.
5. Select "Delete" from the drop-down menu that appear.
6. Confirm you do wish to delete the review.

Once you have confirmed you wish to delete your review, it will immediately be removed from the TripAdvisor website.

Removing a Rating

If you wish to remove a rating you have given to a business, do the following:

1. In your browser, open TripAdvisor.
2. Log into your TripAdvisor account.
3. Select the rating you wish to delete.
4. Click on the reason you are deleting the rating you initially gave to the business.
5. Click "Submit" to remove the rating.

There are a number of reasons you may want to delete your review or rating from TripAdvisor. You may have changed your mind about a negative review and wish to leave a more positive one or vice versa. If a subsequent visit to the business changes your perception of it, you can submit another review without deleting your previous review(s).
