If you're a customer with T-Mobile and want to cancel your service quickly, keep reading to find out how.
T-Mobile is a German telecommunications company operating in the United States, Poland, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic. Founded in 1999, the company has grown extensively and now has 12 subsidiaries under the parent organization Deutsche Telekom AG. T-Mobile, and branches of T-Mobile, account for six of the 12 subsidiaries. If you're a current customer with T-Mobile and want to cancel your service, simply follow these steps.
Note that if you wish to cancel your service, you will be liable to pay outstanding charges for your mobile device. If you return your phone within 14 days of activating the T-Mobile service, in brand new condition, you are not required to pay out your contract. Instead, you only have to pay the restocking fee and the phone charges during your time of use.
Before you begin canceling your T-Mobile service, you should have an understanding of what type of contract you have. You can find this out online by logging into your account.
In the top right corner, select 'My Account' and 'Log In.'
Sign in to your account with your email address or phone number, and password.
Go into your account settings and review your billing contract to better understand what type of fees you may have to pay when you cancel.
You can call into T-Mobile's customer service line to cancel your service. Ask the customer service agent to explain to you all the fees that may be associated with canceling. Additionally, ask when your service will be terminated. Note that the customer service agent may offer you promotions and discounts to get you to stay but you should be firm in your request to leave. You will receive an email confirmation when your service has been successfully canceled. Keep the agent on the line until you receive this email.
You can contact T-Mobile's customer service via their live chat function. You may have to provide personal and account details to verify your identity as the owner of the T-Mobile account. Make sure to ask the customer service agent to outline any fees that may be charged when canceling. Keep the customer service representative on the line until you have received a confirmation email that your service has been canceled.
You can also cancel your service in person at a retail location. Remember to bring a form of government-issued identification so they can verify your identity as the owner of the account. Ask the customer service representative to explain to you any fees that may apply when you cancel. Additionally, make sure you receive an email or paperwork that verifies you have canceled your service. To find the nearest T-Mobile location near you:
In the 'Find a Store' text box, enter your city and state or your zip code.
Find the best retail location to visit. Make a note of the hours of operation before you plan your visit.

And if you spot any issues with our How Do I Cancel My T-Mobile Service? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible.
