As of February 2022, SoCalGas is updating its online service appointment portal, so some features that may have been available in the past (such as scheduling and rescheduling appointments online) are currently unavailable. SoCalGas will povide an update on its website when these features are restored. While the online portal is down, you must call SoCalGas regarding changes to service appointments.

Types of Appointments You Can Schedule

When looking at the types of appointments you can schedule with SoCalGas, there are a number of options, including:

  1. Transfer Service: If you're moving and need to transfer your SoCalGas service from your old home to your new one, you can contact customer support to schedule the transfer. If you have made a transfer appointment, you cannot simply reschedule it online. You must cancel the transfer appointment and request a new one. You can do this via the "My Account" portal on the SoCalGas website.
  2. Starting Service: As with transfer requests, if you need to reschedule your start service date, you will have to cancel the current appointment and schedule a new one through the account portal.
  3. Stop Service: To stop service with SoCalGas, you simply need to complete the online request form with the date you wish to stop service.
  4. Restore Service: If you're having service restored after it has been shut off, you can contact customer support to learn why it was shut off and how to get it restored.
