International students can apply for a Sallie Mae graduate student loan, but they must have a creditworthy cosigner who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The cosigner would also need to provide a U.S. address. If you meet these requirements, you can proceed with your application. It's important for you and your cosigner to understand that the cosigner is equally responsible for repayment of the loan. The loan application can be completed online and once approved, the loan funds will be disbursed directly to your school.
