Introduction

If you used to have a RushCard, you have since been transitioned to a Green Dot card, after Green Dot bought out RushCard and absorbed it into its own operations. So, if you need to dispute a charge on your card, you need to do it with Green Dot. Whether you noticed an unauthorized transaction made on your card, saw that the amount of an authorized transaction was higher than what you agreed to pay, or did not receive the goods or services you paid for, the dispute process is the same.

What You'll Need

If you do not recognize the name of the business that placed the charge on your card, look that business up online. It is possible that the business' sales operations division has a different name than the money processing and billing division. If you call Green Dot and report the charge before you fill out the transaction dispute form, make sure you have the case number you were assigned by the representative you spoke to when you do fill it out, as you will need to provide it. If you do not, resolution of your case could be delayed. Also, if you have already spoken to the police about this matter, make sure you have the police report number, the name of the officer you spoke to, and the name of the police station they came from, as you will need to put them on the form.If the investigation takes more than 10 business days (that goes up to 20 business days if your account is a new one) then Green Dot may give you a provisional credit to get you through while they wrap up their investigation. If they uphold the charge, denying your claim, you will have to pay this credit back.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for RushCard Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
