How Do I Recover My Pinterest Account?

In a nutshell: Pinterest users can temporarily or permanently delete their accounts. Temporary deactivation removes boards, while permanent deletion also removes personal data. Note that you have a 7-day window to reactivate your account after permanent deactivation. After this period, you'll need to create a new account as it's no longer possible to reactivate your Pinterest account. For business accounts, outstanding balances must be settled before deletion. Want to recover your account? Check out this helpful guide for step-by-step instructions.

Introduction

Pinterest users can temporarily or permanently delete their accounts. Log In to Pinterest

Go to this link: https://pinterest.com/login

Signing back in and reactivating your Pinterest account is easy. Just log back in to your Pinterest account using the associated email address and password.

If you can't remember your password, tap Forgot Password to reset it. Wait for the password reset email from Pinterest and follow the instructions on how to successfully reset your password. After resetting it, log back in to your account.

Those who forgot their passwords and no longer have access to the email address associated with their Pinterest accounts can create another account instead.

Log In Without a Password

You can also log in without a password on Pinterest. Just click "Log in without a password" and enter your email address. You will receive a one-time link to reactivate or access your account. This option is ideal for those who don't want to keep remembering their passwords.

If you no longer have access to your email address, consider logging in with an old password. After logging in, update your email address in the Settings to make sure you can regain access to your Pinterest accounts in case you forget your password.

Reactivate Your Account Using Google, Facebook, and Apple.

Pinterest users can also access their accounts using their Facebook, Google, and Apple accounts. Just log in with your email address to sign back in.

Note that Facebook may no longer be supported, so if you don't see this option, consider signing back in using other methods. Those who only used Facebook to log in to Pinterest can recover their accounts by clicking on "Tap to get back into your account". Enter the username and email address associated with your account. Follow the on-screen instructions to regain access to your account.

Contact the Support Team

If you're still having issues logging back in to your Pinterest account, go to the Help Center to contact the Support team. You will be asked to fill out your personal information, including the email address associated with your account and whether you have access to it.

Fill out all the details, describe the problem, and provide some relevant details to get a favorable resolution from the Support team. If possible, provide screenshots if you're getting error messages when trying to access your Pinterest account.

Conclusion

Reactivating your Pinterest account is easy, but this may not be possible if you decide to permanently remove your account and you access it after 7 days. Instead, consider just temporarily deactivating your account. This way, you'll still be able to regain access to your account, even weeks or months after deactivating it. Do note that Pinterest may also suspend accounts (and reactivation may not be possible), especially when the user violates the community guidelines. To prevent this, follow the rules to prevent suspension. Still having issues? Get in touch with Pinterest Customer Support today.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Pinterest Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
