Tracking Your OnTrac Package

To track your OnTrac package, follow these steps:

  1. Open OnTrac's website in your browser.
  2. Move cursor over "Services" in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
  3. Select "Tracking" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Scroll down the page and click on "Try the New Tracking."
  5. Enter your tracking number and click "Go," or enter the reference number and account number and hit "Go."
  6. You will receive a code or message letting you know where the package is in the shipping process.

OnTrac Codes

OnTrac has a number of codes that let you know the status of your package. Some of those codes include:

  • Incomplete address: If there is insufficient information to deliver, you will get this message.
  • Delivery area inaccessible: If the driver cannot access the delivery area due to road hazards or other barriers you will receive this message.
  • Weather delay: When weather causes delays, expect this message.
  • Delivery address changed: If the new address is still being updated in the system, you will receive this message.
  • COD check collected: The payment for any cash on delivery shipments has been collected for processing.
  • Delivered: Your package arrived at the destination.
  • Company closed: If the business isn't open at the time of delivery, you will receive this message.
  • Recipient refused: If the recipient refused delivery of the package, you will be notified with this message.
  • Received Damaged: If the package was received damaged, you will be notified.
  • Delivered damaged: If the package appeared damaged upon delivery, you will be notified with this message.
  • Dangerous goods: If the item shipped is deemed dangerous or hazardous, you will be notified.
  • Deliver date change requested: You will be notified if the shipper or recipient requested a change in delivery date.
  • Delivered, check contents: The package was delivered and the shipper wants to be notified if any content was missing or damaged.
  • Delivered to neighbor: The package was left with the neighbor along with the address of the neighbor.
  • Delayed: Any delay that isn't weather-related or due to an inaccessible delivery address will have this message.
  • Attempted: The package delivery was attempted but the business was closed for a holiday or other event.
  • Held in Warehouse: The item is being held in the warehouse for the recipient to pick up.
