Upload a Custom Background to Microsoft Teams
- Open your Microsoft Teams app or go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software
- Select ‘Sign In.'
- Log in to your account with your email address and password.
- Open a video call.
- Within the video call, select the three dots that are the ‘More Actions' button.
- Click on ‘Show Background Effects.'
- Select ‘Add New.'
- Choose the image you'd like to use for your background. The image should already be saved onto your computer.
- Select ‘Open.'
- Now your image is available for use as a background.
- To set the image as your background, go back to the video call and select the ‘More Actions' button again.
- Click on ‘Show Background Effects.'
- Scroll down until you find your custom background image. Select it.
- You can click on ‘Preview' to see how your background will look. If you're unhappy with how it looks, try a different image.
- If you're happy with the preview, select ‘Apply' or ‘Apply and Turn On Video' if your webcam is currently off.
