How Do I Use My Hulu Gift Card for My Purchase?
Hulu has gift cards that recipients can use to sign up for a Hulu subscription. Existing subscribers can use gift cards to pay their Hulu bill. The procedure for doing both of these things is very simple.
How to Use a Hulu Gift Card to Get a New Subscription
If you don't have a Hulu subscription but want to try the service out, follow these steps:
- Go to the Hulu welcome page.
- Click on the Start Your Free Trial link.
- Choose a plan. You can choose a cheap, ad-supported plan, a more expensive ad-free plan, one of multiple Hulu Live TV plans, or a Disney Bundle.
- Enter a password, email address, and other personal information in the appropriate text fields.
- When you are asked to select a payment option, choose the gift card option.
- Enter your gift card's redemption code. It should be located on the back of your gift card, if it's physical, or in the delivery email, if it's a digital card.
- Enter the rest of the required information.
- Click on the Submit button.
- Complete the onboarding process, which allows Hulu to personalize its recommendations for you.
Please note that your Hulu subscription will run out when the balance on your gift card is used up. If you want your subscription to continue past this point, you will need to add another form of payment to your Hulu account before the balance runs out.
How to Use a Hulu Gift Card if You already Have a Subscription
If you already have a Hulu subscription and want to use the gift card to help pay for it, follow these steps:
- Go to Hulu's website.
- Sign into your account.
- Go to your account page.
- Locate the Payment Information section.
- Enter the gift card redemption code into the Gift or Promotional Code text field. It should be located on the back of your gift card, if it's physical, or in the delivery email, if it's a digital card.
The balance will be added to your account and automatically used the next time your bill comes due. If the gift card balance is large enough, it will be used to pay for multiple months, until it runs out. Then your usual form of payment will be used once more.
