How Do I Transfer Money from My Bitstamp Account?

ACH Withdrawals

If you want to transfer funds from your Bitstamp account to your bank, you can request an ACH withdrawal. An ACH withdrawal is one cleared through the Automated Clearing House network to process the payment. These transfers can take 1-2 business days to complete.

Requirements for an ACH Withdrawal

If you are going to make an ACH withdrawal, there are certain requirements to meet, including:

  • This method is only available to personal accounts, not corporate accounts.
  • The maximum amount that can be withdrawn is $50,000 per transaction request.
  • This method can only be used by US residents.
  • You cannot use wire transfers for FedACH transfers.

Completing the ACH Withdrawal

If your withdrawal or transfer meets the ACH requirements, you can proceed with your transaction. To complete the process, do the following:

  1. Open Bitstamp in your browser, and log into your account.
  2. Select "Withdrawal" in the menu.

Transferring Funds From the Mobile App

You can transfer funds from your Bitstamp account via the mobile app. To make a withdrawal follow these steps:

  1. Open the Bitstamp app and log into your account.
  2. Tap on "Wallet."
  3. Choose a currency and select "Withdraw" to start the transfer process.
  4. Select the bank account you are transferring funds to and key in the amount of the transfer.
  5. Make sure the information is correct. If no changes are needed, tap "Confirm."
  6. Transfers can take 1-2 days to complete.
