How Do I Unlock My BitMart Account?

Try Resetting the Password

There are a few reasons why your BitMart account may be locked. The most common reason is that you have attempted to log in with the wrong password too many times. If this is the case, you can easily unlock your account by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the BitMart Login page and click on the "Forgot Password?" link.

  2. Enter the email address associated with your BitMart account and click "Submit."

  3. Check your inbox for an email from us with "Reset your BitMart password." Click on the "Reset Password" button in the email.

  4. Enter your new password and click "Submit."

  5. You will then be able to log in to your BitMart account with your new password.

Use the BitMart Support Center

If you are still having trouble unlocking your account, you can always reach out to the customer support team for assistance. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the BitMart Support Center and create a new ticket.

  2. In the "Subject" field, enter "Unlock my account."

  3. In the "Description" field, please provide your full name, email address, and why you believe your account is locked.

The team will review your ticket and unlock your account as soon as possible. In most cases, your account will be unlocked within 24 hours. However, depending on the volume of tickets the team receives, it may take up to 48 hours for your account to be unlocked.

What Makes the Unlocking Process Difficult?

There are a few reasons why the customer support team may have difficulty unlocking your account. The most common reason is that you do not have access to the email address associated with your BitMart account.

If you do not have access to the email address associated with your BitMart account, please provide one of the following forms of identification so we can verify your identity and unlock your account:

  1. A copy of your passport

  2. A copy of your driver's license

  3. A copy of your national ID card

Why Enable Two-factor Authentication (2FA) on Your Account?

We highly recommend that all users enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on their accounts. 2FA is an extra layer of security that requires you to enter a code from your phone in addition to your password when logging in.

This makes it much more difficult for someone to hack into your account, even if they have your password. For this reason, we require all users who have 2FA enabled on their accounts to provide a code from their phone when contacting customer support to unlock their account.

Best Practices for Preventing the Locking Issues

To prevent your account from being locked in the future, it's recommendable that you take the following measures:

  1. Use a strong password that is at least eight characters long and includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

  2. Do not use the same password on multiple websites or services.

  3. Do not share your password with anyone.

  4. If you think your account has been hacked, seek help immediately.
