Dear YouTube,
I am concerned about the new rules on content appealing to kids. The category seems broad and unfairly targets mainly female creators. Many top DIY and Craft channels are run by females. Arts, crafts, DIYs, and toy customizations are not just for children and shouldn't be categorized that way because they are playful. Male DIYers use materials like metal and wood that are not seen as “childish”, so they won't be affected. This bias echoes the issue of gender pay gaps, where female-dominated professions receive less than male-dominated ones. I ask you to view fine arts, crafts, and customizations as art and learning tools for all ages. How the content is presented matters more than the subject itself. A Squishy can be art, not just a toy. Dolls in a video can be transformed into art through customization. Please reconsider your approach and recognize the creativity and effort of predominantly female creators. Context and presentation should be valued over a simple classification.
Sincerely,
A Concerned Content Creator

Subject: Concern Regarding YouTube's New Rules on Content Targeting Kids
Hi YouTube,
I'm writing to express my concerns about the recent rules on content that could be seen as appealing to children. The guidelines seem overly broad and unfairly impact predominantly female creators, who specialize in DIY and craft channels. Arts, crafts, and toy customization are not exclusively for children and should not be labeled as such simply because they are playful. It's unfair that male creators using materials like metal and wood won't be affected because these materials aren't seen as "childish" compared to their female counterparts. This issue reflects the larger problem of gender inequality, with female-dominated fields often undervalued compared to male-dominated ones.
I urge you to reconsider how you classify arts, crafts, and customizations as art forms that can be educational for all ages. The way content is presented should matter more than the actual items featured. For example, a craft kit review can offer valuable insights beyond just child's play. Please take into account the diverse talents of female creators who could unfairly be labeled as catering only to children, limiting their creative expression. Thank you for listening.

Dear YouTube Team,
I have some concerns about the recent rules regarding content that is deemed appealing to children. The criteria seem broad and tend to disproportionately affect female creators. Many popular DIY and craft channels are run by females. Activities such as arts, crafts, DIY projects, and even toy customization should not automatically be labeled as child-oriented just because they are fun and creative. It's unfair that male DIY creators working with materials like metal and wood are not affected because these materials are not perceived as "childish." This bias reflects broader issues where female-dominated professions are undervalued compared to male-dominated ones. I kindly request a reconsideration of how arts, crafts, and customizations are viewed as forms of art and education suitable for all ages. The focus should be on how the content is presented rather than solely on the subject matter. For instance, while a squishy toy can be played with, it can also be used as a medium for artistic expression. Similarly, a craft kit review can serve as a helpful guide for consumers. The way content is presented should hold more weight than the items themselves. Dolls in a video may appear childlike, but doll customization is a form of art and self-expression. I urge you not to unfairly categorize all creators under the same umbrella. It's essential to consider the context and presentation of the content, not just the topic itself. Please take into account the many talented female artists, crafters, and DIYers who may be negatively impacted by this labeling of their work as "childish."
Sincerely,
An Adult Art Enthusiast

I am experiencing issues signing into my Youtube account (username = banancapa), created in [redacted]. I continue to receive notifications for this account via the same Yahoo email used to create it. The latest notification I received was on May 11, [redacted]. Currently, I am only able to sign into Youtube with my Gmail account ([redacted]), where I have no uploads. I prefer to use my banancapa account. Despite attempting to claim and link the banancapa account to my Gmail, I receive an error message stating, "This YouTube account isn't available to be claimed." I have followed all troubleshooting advice available but am stuck in a loop. Struggling to manage obnoxious and offensive comments on videos, I believe it's unfair that I cannot access my own channel to address this matter. I request access to my banancapa account to rectify these issues.

Attention Mr. Trump and family, I am a 65-year-old man, a man of God with a clean record. I have faced hardships due to the VA and BVA for 40 years. I believe I have won my case multiple times and many influential people want to assist me, including Yale College, in a lawsuit against the Secretary of Veteran Affairs. I request a quick settlement similar to one offered 16 years ago, including disability benefits and support for my son, David K. Collins. I aim for a fair resolution to bring peace to all involved. If not, be prepared for legal action. Thank you. Rev. Dolphus Collins, a civil rights advocate for veterans and all individuals. Email: [redacted]. Disability rights case [redacted]. Thank you.

Before having a smartphone, I created a YouTube account named Jasper Chance on my laptop and posted a video. After getting a smartphone, I discovered an additional YouTube account supposedly made automatically by Google. Despite trying, I could not access my original Jasper Chance account. Further efforts resulted in a second account on my phone linked to the original Gmail used for my first YouTube account. Now, I have two YouTube accounts on my smartphone with different Gmail addresses. I am unsure how this happened and wish to eliminate the unintended accounts, retaining my initial one. This situation is frustrating and resolving it seems challenging. I am the only Jasper Chance and want to preserve the name and channel. Thank you.

Dear Youtube Support,
I recently had an incident during one of my live streams where someone used a fake name, O.D.S/D Shadow Demon, to disrupt my channel by posting a pornographic image. Due to the way names appear small and grayed out in the backstage area, I mistook this person for my friend. I believe this individual is from East Texas and may be using the alias Ashleigh [You Know Who] to troll others as well.
I would like to request the IP address associated with the fake username Shadow Demon in order to take legal action. A new law in Texas now considers sharing unsolicited explicit images a criminal offense, and I believe this incident falls under that category. Being an IT Specialist at Spud Tech, I am hoping to gather this information to proceed with necessary actions.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Irish Stevo

Good evening, YouTube company.
I am Keshav Chawla, the owner of the Foodiee Bhaiyaa channel on YouTube.
I am reaching out because I am in the process of monetizing my channel. After uploading my first video, I recently reviewed your terms and conditions for monetization. I realized I mistakenly included background music in that video. I cannot remove it now as it has [redacted] views and 62 likes. I apologize for this oversight. Rest assured, my second video is free of any background music, and I will be more careful in the future. Please consider enabling monetization on my page.
Thank you.

Dear Sir,
My name is Vonnie Alamon, and I am writing to address a concern. In [redacted], my sisters and I recorded a record with Tri Disc Records featuring the songs "Why Oh Why" and "On A Night Like Tonight" under the group name The Charmetts. Our manager at the time was Effie Smith. Recently, upon watching a video on YouTube, I discovered another group claiming credit for our songs. I came across a photo of three ladies from this group that I am not familiar with. It is disheartening to see someone wrongly taking credit for our work. We never received any royalties for these songs, but they hold sentimental value to us. I kindly request your assistance in looking into this matter. You can reach me at [redacted]. Thank you for your help and understanding.
P.S. We, the original members of The Charmetts, are all alive and well.

I have been a loyal viewer of the various monkey channels on this platform for nearly three years. Recently, I noticed some disturbing behavior where posts were being deleted simply for criticizing certain monkeys. A friend of mine, under the username Paradise [redacted], seemed to have her account hacked as there were discrepancies in the writing style. Another user, called Dead Mrs. Brachak's Other Son, falsely accused me of making threats and tried to get me reported. I believe these individuals are colluding to cause trouble. I detest this hacking and the false accusations made using my friend's account. I just want to enjoy watching and posting without being falsely incriminated. It's frustrating how some misuse their YouTube privileges, making the platform unpleasant for those of us who just want to engage positively. Is there any way to address this issue? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

On June 1, [redacted], I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel, and shortly after, it was deleted. I didn't remove it and suspected a glitch initially. However, I lost access to my channel, realizing I had been hacked. The hacker proceeded to upload disturbing content, including pornography and violent videos involving children, which I find appalling. After reaching out to YouTube through tweets, it took them two days to respond. Over the following two weeks of DMs, they advised me to contact the Creator support team. The team instructed me to create a brand account using the Channel Switcher, a process I was unfamiliar with. After three months of minimal communication and creating a new channel, then a brand account, I have yet to regain access to my original channel. Despite their assurance that the issue was resolved, I am still waiting. Their last response was on September 3rd, promising to investigate further, but it's now September 16th, and I haven't heard back. I urge for assistance in reaching out to YouTube to restore my channel access promptly.

I encountered difficulties uploading a video on YouTube last night. The video is approximately 24 to 25 minutes long. Unfortunately, the upload failed twice. Initially, I attempted with a 4K resolution and then with 1080P, but both attempts were unsuccessful. These uploads were meant for my second account, which I am in the process of building. My main account is titled JustGoWithIt while my new account is named AwesomeDotCom. During my troubleshooting, I discovered that videos exceeding 15 minutes might have upload restrictions due to account verification or copyright issues. Even though my primary account is verified, I am uncertain about the verification status of my secondary account, despite using the same email. One of my uploads had copyright content, so I removed it to potentially resolve the problem. I intend to retry uploading the video tonight, hoping for success. The video size is around 37 GB as it was recorded in 4K, making the upload process lengthy and disappointing when it fails. I seek guidance on whether deleting the copyright video could have fixed the issue or if there are other steps I should take to ensure smooth uploads for my content creation endeavors on YouTube. Both channels are associated with [redacted], and I plan for my secondary channel to transition into the primary one when I gain more subscribers.

There have been instances where inappropriate comments were reported but reappeared on YouTube later, despite the initial report. It is concerning to see such behavior go unchecked. If this is the standard being upheld, I am considering closing my account and informing my friends about the reason behind this decision. It surprises me that YouTube does not consider such comments offensive. It feels like a double standard, and I hope this can be addressed.

I need assistance with my YouTube account. When I visit a channel, I can only view the homepage and that channel's homepage. I cannot access the videos or community tabs. When I try to watch a video, the screen is blank with only the video on it. Clicking the YouTube icon does not redirect me. This issue occurs on all my devices when using the desktop site, even in incognito mode. It only affects one specific channel; all other accounts work fine. I watch YouTube daily on my desktop and need my account to function properly. This problem started today when everything disappeared while watching a video. I have tried troubleshooting without success. I am reaching out for help. Thank you for reading this far, I hope for a solution as this is essential to me. Thank you.

Help needed! My YouTube channel, "Livelightwell," which had 10,[redacted] subscribers, has been hijacked. It is a Health and Spirituality Channel. I received a threatening email from YouTube stating my account would be deleted due to a violation in 24 hours. The email was part of a phishing scheme, and I mistakenly clicked the link. Following Google's security measures didn't resolve the issue. My channel was hacked on September 19th; while I changed my Gmail password, I still lost access to my channel. The landing page photo has also been altered. I am devastated as I put a lot of effort into building it. I have tried reaching out to Google and YouTube with no success. If anyone has advice or useful contacts to assist me in reclaiming my channel from the unauthorized user now exploiting it, it would be greatly appreciated. Please help me retrieve my channel "Livelightwell." Thank you.

Hello, I'm Turhan C. from Los Angeles, CA. Our Turkish company, "FENOMEN MEDYA BILISIM VE YAZILIM ANONIM SIRKETI," created the mobile app "FENOMEN" for video story sharing, similar to TikTok. We've secured social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as "FENOMEN." Unfortunately, our inactive YouTube account, youtube.com/FENOMEN, is unresponsive and hasn't been used in 8 years. We hold a registration certificate from the European Union Intellectual Property Office for our app's name and logo. Access to the youtube.com/FENOMEN URL is essential for our business. Despite failed attempts to retrieve it through YouTube's trademark reporting toolkit, we haven't made progress. I've been in the USA for over 3 years and seek guidance on the next steps, potential costs, and connecting with the right contacts. We've invested significant effort in our app and appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

There is a YouTuber named Madame who has been accused of stealing art from a 15-year-old girl without giving her credit. The girl's personal information, including her phone number, was allegedly shared, and the YouTuber reportedly made disparaging comments about her. Additionally, there are claims that the YouTuber has told individuals to harm themselves for asking for credit. This behavior is concerning, especially since the girl is a minor. Many have raised these issues and made videos about the situation, questioning why YouTube has not taken action. The community feels that YouTube should address such harmful behavior and protect its users rather than focusing on less significant matters. Taking action against individuals like Madame is crucial for maintaining a safe environment on the platform and supporting content creators who follow the rules.

My Google product access was mistakenly suspended while I was enjoying a livestream from GTLive on YouTube. I was eager to comment and interact with MatPat & Steph. Although I posted a couple of comments during the livestream and on their video afterwards, my actions were not intended to violate any rules. I initially suggested a video idea and then expressed my appreciation, followed by a joke. I didn't realize repeating my comment in the live chat and on the video could have led to this suspension. I genuinely meant no harm and would appreciate having my access reinstated.

I encountered a problem while trying to sign up for YouTubeTV. Before I could finish the process, there was a glitch that resulted in me being charged and the order being canceled prematurely. Now, I am unable to access the free trial that I was interested in trying out. Upon checking my PayPal account, I noticed transactions from Google on 9/20/[redacted] that indicate a sign-up and immediate cancellation, which never actually occurred. I have never used the service, completed a sign-up, or canceled it intentionally. It seems like there was a misunderstanding due to a computer error. I kindly request assistance in resolving this issue so I can proceed with the free trial as originally intended.
