I have been receiving threatening emails from the address [redacted] The email content is as follows:
"I know xxxxx one of your passwords. Let's get straight to the point. You may not know me and are probably wondering why you are receiving this email. Not a single person has paid me to investigate you.
Actually, I installed malware on a pornography website you visited, allowing me to access your webcam and contacts. I have created a video with compromising footage. You have two options: ignore this email and risk me sending the video to your contacts, or pay me $[redacted] in Bitcoin to delete the video. You have one day to pay.

If you consider going to the authorities, this email cannot be traced back to me. Act within the deadline to avoid consequences."

I received an email informing me that my Yahoo email account will be deactivated. I received a similar email last week and responded promptly, thinking it was deactivated by my granddaughter. After replying several times, I received another email yesterday threatening immediate deactivation upon reading. I'm unsure if this is genuine or a scam. Please advise on what steps I should take. Your assistance is highly appreciated.

Hello! I'm Madalin Pisla. I've had a Yahoo account for nearly 12 years, but I've lost access to it. I forgot my password and changed my phone number. The recovery number is [redacted]2, and I had security questions (craiova, pixi, petroianu) set up. Since I can't get a new SIM with the recovery number, I'm hoping to find out how to regain access to my account, as it holds important emails and information. My second email address is [redacted] Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

I recently had to retrieve an account key for my Yahoo email when filling out a job application and forgot my password. After logging out from the job application machine, now I can't access my Yahoo email. I would like to revert to my old password. I'm confused by this process and only need it for a one-time use. I'm unsure how to set up an app password that works for both my Yahoo accounts - one is personal and used for many years, including business, the other is for my online business on Etsy. I need access to these accounts restored. For contact, please reach out via email to [redacted] as I am having trouble accessing it. If email is not possible, kindly contact me at [redacted].

Hello,
I am having trouble accessing my Yahoo accounts [redacted] and [redacted] as I have forgotten the passwords. These emails are linked to my Facebook for password recovery. I am unable to log in to retrieve the code sent by Facebook to reset my password due to this. I am also struggling to log in to Yahoo.com or Yahoomail.com. I would appreciate guidance on accessing my Yahoo accounts and receiving the reset code on my mobile number +92[redacted] instead of email. If responding to my issue, please use my Gmail account [redacted] for communication. Thank you.

Hello! My email address is [redacted] I have been using it for years, and it’s directly on my iPhone. I used to have an iPhone 5c, but I had to upgrade to a new one as it started acting up. Now, my problem is that I can't link my email to my new iPhone because I forgot my password. I currently live in the US and no longer have access to the registered number. I still have access to my emails on my old phone, but I need them on my new device. I can answer all security questions or use a recovery email to reset my password. I know it's a bit much, but I believe we can work this out together. Changing my email would be very inconvenient as I have it registered with work, my bank, and many other services. Thank you in advance for your assistance! N. El Harrari

About a month ago, I received an unfamiliar email claiming I tried to send an email filled with random characters, but this was not true. Subsequently, Yahoo logged me out, and now I face challenges logging in as it requires email verification from an unknown account. Despite my attempts to recover access, I cannot answer security questions I did not create. Although I can log into my usual email, I hit a roadblock attempting to verify ownership. The email contains crucial information, documents, and pictures that I urgently need access to.

My Gmail has been set up to fetch my Yahoo/AT&T mail (sbcglobal.net) for years, but it's been glitchy and never quite smooth. It often gets stuck, and while it usually fixes itself, lately it's stuck for good. There's a persistent red banner that seems to be covering the check mail button, making it inaccessible. My internet provider confirmed the settings are correct, and I can log into the account without issues. I've tried clicking on "retrieve mail" on the accounts and imports page, but it's not working. I'm stumped and need help fixing this so my Gmail can fetch my emails again.

I'm having trouble viewing images in my emails on my PC. Despite disabling addons, clearing caches, and reinstalling my browser, I can only see links and images in the Compose Email section. This issue does not occur on my mobile or tablet. I've been a Yahoo user since the beginning, and although this has happened before and resolved within days, it has now been weeks without images in my emails. I've checked all Yahoo settings, tried different browsers, and even reinstalled my browser, but the problem persists on all browsers except Firefox.

I am writing to report an incident where an individual named Kevin Clay, claiming to be from your company, allegedly tried to assist me with recovering a forgotten email password. I came across a Yahoo customer service number online and contacted them for help. The person posing as a Yahoo representative asked me to download and run a Go Assist program, provided a security key, and gained control of my computer. They requested my ID, took pictures of my passport and ID, which I found suspicious as Yahoo usually does not ask for such information. Despite my nickname being on the email, the ID verification failed, locking the system for 24 hours. The imposter then pressured me to buy a $[redacted] iTunes card to guarantee password recovery, which I declined.

Dear Customer Service,
I am writing to report an incident where an individual named Kevin Clay claimed to be associated with your company and attempted to assist me with recovering access to my long-unused email account. I contacted a Yahoo customer service number online seeking reset support. The individual led me to download a program called Go Assist, gained control of my computer, and requested identification photographs, which I provided unknowingly at the time. They requested an iTunes gift card for $[redacted], which I did not purchase. Can you please assist me in regaining access to my email account and ensuring its security?

I lost access to my Yahoo account long ago. The email is [redacted] My mom changed the password because I was having trouble logging in. She never shared the new password. I used to remember my old login and security questions, but it has been 3 to 4 years without a computer, and I forgot everything. The old password I think was [redacted]2. The account was created around [redacted] or [redacted]. The name on the account was a fake one, Fred Willson, created by my sister who set the security questions that I can't recall. My mom doesn't remember the answers either.

1. I am encountering difficulties accessing my fantasy football league either through the app or online as the link seems to have disappeared.
2. Clicking on the link provided in an email from Yahoo regarding a waiver transaction redirects me to an error page (error message #[redacted]) stating that I am not part of the league, despite confirming my membership with the commissioner.
3. I have attempted to seek assistance from the Yahoo fantasy help desk, but I am unable to submit my request as the system claims the email I provide does not match the login email, even though it is the correct one. These issues are causing frustration, and I urgently require support.

Hello!
I am inquiring once again to clarify my query. I am looking to set up an email account to link to multiple hunting cameras, specifically the HC-300M in "Server setting."
I intend to share the email password with a hunter who will assist in camera maintenance and reconfiguration when necessary. Is there a way to prevent this individual (or anyone with the password) from changing the password or removing the account access?
I am seeking reassurance that your email service is compatible with these cameras and exploring whether it offers security measures to prevent unauthorized password changes. Stability is crucial to ensure the cameras operate smoothly with your email service. Can you accommodate this requirement? How can I get further assistance or guidance on this matter?
Thank you,
P.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to inform you that I have forgotten the security questions for logging into my Yahoo mail account. Additionally, my phone number, [redacted][redacted], was canceled at my request two years ago after completing my PhD in the UK in [redacted].
I was asked to recall organizations or groups that contacted me frequently, and despite my answers, the system indicated that they were incorrect. It is proving challenging to provide the exact answers to your questions.
I kindly request you to review my email where I have attached a copy of my PhD thesis titled "Wheel and Rail Wear Prediction Using Artificial Neural Networks". Access to my Yahoo account is crucial as I utilize it for job applications and eagerly await responses.
I appreciate your assistance.
Thank you.

Hi,
I encountered an error last night where my phone failed to sign in to my sbcglobal.net account. The message states: "Sign-in failed." Upon opening the notification, it requests me to sign in again due to a password change, which I did not initiate. When attempting to rectify this in the email settings, I receive an error indicating the inability to verify the account, citing incorrect username or password, or disabled POP3/IMAP access. Despite checking the account settings online, the issue persists for the last 24 hours.
Appreciate any assistance,
Scott

I received this email claiming to be from Yahoo about the closure of my account due to using an outdated version of Yahoo Mail. It requests that I upgrade to Yahoo Mail 7.1 to avoid permanent closure. It instructs me to open an attachment for the upgrade. The email states not to reply to it and provides a customer service email ID. It seems suspicious, and I am unsure if it is legitimate.

I am an employee at a doctor's office and I am facing an issue with our business listing on Yahoo. When searching for our Business Name, the search results show Evergreen Spine and Neurosurgery with an incorrect address.
The accurate address for Evergreen Spine and Neurosurgery Center should be as follows:
[redacted] Vision Park Boulevard, Suite [redacted]
Shenandoah, Texas [redacted].
I am seeking assistance from Yahoo with the following resolutions:
1. Updating the address to reflect the correct information.
2. Providing me with clear instructions to update it myself.
3. Identifying the source from which Yahoo is obtaining this inaccurate information and guiding me on how to contact them to update it.
Any help with the above options would be greatly appreciated as I need to rectify this issue promptly.

I am experiencing an issue with Yahoo search displaying outdated information about me as a result of a cached page. The information has been deleted from the website by the webmaster over 8 weeks ago. Despite reaching out to Yahoo previously (Case: [redacted]3) [ref:1N00000fuHnxQAE:ref], the matter remains unresolved as the ticket was closed. Specifically, when I search for my name "Marcela Madrid" on Yahoo, the search results show details that are no longer valid. The inaccurate information is associated with Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and incorrectly linked to www.pc.edu/staff/mmadrid. The details mentioned on the page, including my name, role, and educational background, are no longer accurate. I kindly request an expedited removal of this outdated information due to privacy concerns. Your assistance in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Marcela
