My friend needed money, so I sent it to him. Shortly after, he found his wallet, and I promptly returned the money. Surprisingly, my account got frozen within a few days. I was required to provide identification and a bank statement to unfreeze it. Although my friend managed to regain access to his account swiftly, I was informed that my account would not be reopened. I sought guidance on how to withdraw funds from the frozen account but received no clear answer. Despite making two phone calls, the representatives indicated only an account specialist via email could assist me. Unfortunately, I have not received any callback. The money rightfully belongs to me, and the holding of my funds without justification for an extended period of over 6 months is unacceptable.

I recently got a new phone and attempted to access my Venmo account using my phone number as the sign-in ID. After resetting my password, I encountered an issue where a verification code was being sent to an email address I don't recognize. The email address associated with my account seems to be different from what I expected ([redacted]). The email listed on Venmo is j***[redacted], which may have been a typo during sign-up. I am unable to access this email or the alternate one provided for verification. I am looking for assistance to regain access to my account.

My account got frozen for an unusual reason. A payment was accidentally sent by my best friend's 2-year-old daughter. When I tried to return the money, my account was frozen. My friend is going through a tough time and needs the money to feed his daughter. It seems unfair that he can't access his own money for a mistake. Please help me resolve this quickly. My contact details are [redacted] or [redacted] Your assistance in releasing the frozen funds would greatly benefit my friend's family. Thank you for understanding the urgency of this matter.

Hello, I'm having an issue with my Venmo account and would like some assistance. My name is Lawrence. I'm reaching out to reclaim my Venmo account. I had some trouble because my brother's name is very similar to mine due to a typo made by his mom. Despite this, we have different identification, birth dates, and social security numbers. I understand that my brother may have caused an issue, but I shouldn't be punished for his actions. I value my Venmo account and the assistance it provides, especially during tough times. I'm currently facing financial struggles while being in school and between jobs. The funds on my account, including the $6 balance, are important to me. I have a supportive adopted father who helps me and my brothers within his means. Resolving this matter would enable me to continue using Venmo to receive his help. I hope you can review my situation and assist me.

Recently, fraudulent activity and identity theft affected all my financial accounts, including my Union Bank account and the linked debit card with Venmo. My bank account has been permanently closed due to these issues. Venmo keeps emailing me about owing money for reloads that were fraudulently removed from my account, causing overdraft fees. I have filed a fraud claim with my bank and recovered some funds, but not all. I am seeking assistance to settle the debt of $66.21 in order to potentially reactivate my Venmo account. Any help in reversing this amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Jocelyn R.

I recently encountered an issue while updating my Venmo account on my new phone. During the process, I mistakenly entered the wrong email address when trying to reset my password. After speaking with Jonathan R. from customer support on 12/28, we unfortunately got disconnected. Jonathan requested my photo ID, but I initially provided the wrong bank card number instead of the last four digits of my Chase checking account, which are [redacted]. I promptly corrected that mistake with the accurate information, but have yet to hear back from him. I appreciate any help you can provide. - Joann H. M.

Over two years ago, I reported to Venmo that I was double charged. Despite a long discussion, I was left confused by their handling of the situation. Disappointed, I switched to PayPal and forgot about it. Recently, my friend sent me $30 via Venmo for concert tickets. I received an email stating my account was frozen due to an outstanding balance, which confused me.
On March 9, [redacted], my friend Annie requested $[redacted], which I sent through Venmo. Although my bank confirmed the payment, Venmo claimed it was unauthorized. I sent the money again, assuming the first payment didn't go through. Venmo eventually credited me $[redacted] for the double payment. However, now Venmo says I owe them money, despite being even according to my bank statement and Chase customer service.
I am puzzled as to why Venmo still claims I owe them money. They repaid a transaction, I paid them back, and I was mistakenly double charged but credited. It seems I should not owe them anything, especially since they owe me $10 from a previous credit and the $30 my friend recently sent.

I successfully reset my password for my login email [redacted] However, upon reaching the page to request a reset code be sent to a phone number ending in [redacted], I realized that it is not my phone number. Due to a recent incident where someone I briefly dated stole my personal information and used my credit cards, I urgently need to replace the current Visa card linked to my account with a new one. I also would like to update the phone number associated with my account to [redacted]. Please provide me with instructions on how to make these changes.

I have two inquiries. Firstly, I am looking to send money from my U.S. bank account to a friend's U.S. bank account using Venmo while residing in Panama. Can I use Venmo abroad for domestic transfers?
Secondly, I encountered a login issue as I tried to access my account from a new device. Venmo sent a security code to my old U.S. number which I no longer use since moving to Panama. Consequently, I can't receive the security code to login. How can I resolve this situation?

My daughter submitted $[redacted] through VNNO for a rental application that included fees for background and credit checks. After sending the money, the "landlord" contacted her within 20 minutes and extensively questioned her income for 40 minutes without prior mention of an income requirement during the apartment showing on Saturday. When she requested to retract her application due to work commitments and ineligibility, he agreed to do so but insisted on keeping the $[redacted]. Despite her attempts to contact him via text and calls, he remains unresponsive. She currently resides at home to save money and travels [redacted] miles daily for work. She seeks advice on how to address this situation.

I am consistently receiving an error message indicating an issue with my account. My bank balance is sufficient, and I have not surpassed my weekly limit. I managed two successful transfers of $[redacted] and $[redacted] but am now unable to proceed with additional transactions. I purchased tickets to the Boston Bruins vs. St. Louis Blues NHL hockey game for $[redacted] from a Venmo user called Cong Nguyen. The tickets were delivered via Ticketmaster's secure site. However, when I tried to use the digital tickets on my phone the night before the game, the bar code had disappeared. Ticketmaster informed me that Cong Nguyen had disputed the charge for the tickets, resulting in the tickets being canceled. This seems to be a recurring scam where the seller disputes the charge after selling digital tickets and gets reimbursed while also preventing the buyer from using the tickets. I paid via Venmo to @-Cong-Nguyen-14, who then took back the tickets digitally. I am seeking a refund of $[redacted] from Cong Nguyen and believe they should be held accountable for fraud or banned from Venmo to prevent further misuse of their account.

I am looking to add a card to my current Venmo account. However, when I tried to do so, I received a message mentioning a card associated with another account. Years ago, I opened a Venmo account linked to ckingdohm@yahoo. I have deleted my current account, which prompts me to log in to the old one. Unfortunately, I am unable to do so as the verification code is being sent to a phone number I no longer possess. The solution I propose is to change the verification email or, alternatively, to delete the ckingdohm@yahoo account entirely. In my transactions, I use the name Carl King for artist services, but all payments are made using Carl Hudson's card. Despite sending bank statements and necessary identification to the representatives, the issue persists. Please resolve this matter promptly or release me from any association with the account. Holding a dormant account with my payment information poses a significant security risk, which is not beneficial to either party involved. Kindly address this concern. Thank you. Carl (King) Hudson

I created a Venmo account about 2 years ago but never had the chance to use it. I uninstalled the app and forgot my password. Recently, I opened a new account because I couldn't recall the old password. My new job suggested I use Venmo for my paycheck when my boss is away. However, when my boss tried to send the money, my old account showed up. I forgot to inform him about the account I lost access to. I'm stressed because I can't access my funds, and I have bills to pay. I need help transferring the money to my new account or resetting the password for the old one I can't get into.

Hello, I am a new Venmo user referred by a friend. I recently activated my account, loaded money to pay bills including rent, only to find it frozen. I am anxious as this is urgently needed. I reached out to Venmo representatives and could not rest due to worry over my bills. Your help to resolve this matter swiftly would be greatly appreciated. I noticed a $[redacted] charge on Conner Smith's account via Venmo on March 12, [redacted]. This charge was made from a Wells Fargo credit card linked to Brian K Schmidt. Despite the lack of a reversal in my Venmo account and Wells Fargo's confirmation of no reversal on their end, it seems there was a reversal made on Conner Smith's Venmo account. I am seeking clarity on this transaction discrepancy and would like to understand how this reversal was processed. Grateful for any assistance in resolving this matter.

Hello, my daughter received money from her friends through your service. I assisted her in setting up our bank account and her debit card and transferring the funds from Venmo to the bank. We initiated the transfer on Thursday, April 11th. However, the money has not appeared in our bank account yet. We understand it may take up to 72 hours, but it has been longer than that. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you, Joseph Apostolico

I attempted to make a payment but received an error message stating I couldn't connect to my bank, which I have used for over a year with Venmo. I am unsure why this error occurred. I use the same login credentials for my online banking and haven't had issues before. Recently, I did update my online banking password. Assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
