I would like to switch to paying my bills monthly at the post office or paypoint service. I understand I won't get the £5 annual discount without direct debit. I previously paid my water bill in installments at a post office under North West Water Board. I prefer not to pay utilities online due to security concerns. Having the option to pay in person respects civil liberties, especially for those with religious objections to digital payments. It's crucial to allow payment choices and not enforce solely online methods. I believe many younger people might not be aware of this issue or are choosing to disregard it. Can I make installment payments without using a computer or direct debit? My UU account number is [redacted]. Thank you. - Ms. Chapman

For the past 30 years of living at Lanefoot Cottage in Dovenby, Cockermouth, Cumbria, CA13 0PN, I've noticed that the village sewage is taken to a works accessible across the track from my home. The tankers need to cross a piece of land in front of The White House, owned by John and Joanne Palmer, to reach the gate leading to the sewage works. Mr. Palmer informed me verbally and via email that he has informed United Utilities that tankers cannot cross his land. However, in my observation over three decades, tankers have routinely passed through the land without issue. Lately, there have been no tankers for weeks, raising concerns about the safe disposal of sewage. I am offering my witness statement to support the normal operation of the sewage service, crucial for public health. It appears that the Palmers may not realize the impact of blocking access to the sewage works by parking their cars in front of their home instead of using their designated drive at the rear. My sole intention is to ensure the safe and undisrupted disposal of sewage, as it has been for the last 30 years. Peter Nicholson

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I missed a payment which has affected my credit file. My father was extremely ill in the hospital at the time, and the diagnosis of stage three cancer was devastating. I am a single parent trying to balance caring for my dad, two children, work, and dealing with the anniversary of my mother's passing. I have since paid the bill and set up a direct debit. Given the challenges over the last 14 months, especially since November, I kindly request reconsideration to retract the missed payment from my credit report. I am willing to provide proof of the difficult circumstances I faced during that time. Your understanding in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

We recently experienced a drain blockage at our property at 1 Tollemache Road, Mottram, Hyde, SK146LL. After contacting United Utilities on Sunday, October 23, we were informed that since our drain is partially situated inside the garage, they would not handle the issue. A technician from Lanes for Drains visited us the next day and determined that the blockage was in the manhole at the bottom of our driveway, not on our property. Although he cleared it, he advised us to inform you for further investigation to prevent future occurrences. We worry about potential costly damage if this happens again. Our phone number is [redacted]1.
