Dear Sir/Madam, I am trying to locate my lost luggage that was meant to be transferred between flights from Yaounde, Cameroun to Washington, D.C. The luggage, carried on flight number SN0380, was supposed to go from Brussels to Munich and then to Washington on flights LH [redacted] and UA109, respectively. Unfortunately, there seems to have been an error at the Brussels airline office where my luggage was marked for Brussels instead of the correct destination, Washington. The lost and found office at Brussels airport currently has my luggage, described as one black box weighing 23 kilos and a smaller bag at 16 kilos. I kindly request that my belongings be handed over to United Airlines for delivery to me in the United States. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Charley Mejame

Refund or Voucher Request During our return trip from Punta Cana, we experienced significant delays due to a technical issue, ultimately leading to the cancellation of our flight with United. Despite being assured of assistance, no representative showed up at the designated time, leaving us stranded at the hotel. United rerouted us to JFK instead of Newark as booked, resulting in additional travel expenses and inconvenience. The lack of proper communication and assistance has left us extremely disappointed. I have tried to resolve this with customer care but have not received a satisfactory solution. If United does not offer a refund or voucher to compensate for the extra costs and inconvenience, I will no longer choose to fly with your airline. I have shared my experience and dissatisfaction on social media, and I do not plan to fly with United again unless this issue is addressed promptly and appropriately. Sincerely, Barry K.

I made changes to a refundable ticket where one section of the flight was altered. The summary indicates a refund for the changed trip and the purchase of a new trip. I was informed via email that I would receive a $39.00 refund to my credit card, which I can verify with the email. However, I actually received a travel credit instead of the refund to my credit card. I would prefer the amount to be returned to my original form of payment rather than as a credit. I made numerous attempts to resolve this over the phone without success. The confirmation number for the transaction is N8LFXN with the passenger name as Erica Finley and birthdate 02-07-[redacted]. I can provide the email summary as proof if necessary.

I contacted your [redacted] customer service for a refund for my previous one-way flight from Detroit, MI to Bangkok. I paid $[redacted] to hold the benefits of the travel credit for my next flight. Unfortunately, your staff did not provide details on how to use the travel credit beyond changing the itinerary when I paid. My understanding was that I could use it for new flights or seat upgrades. I have now booked a new flight to Thailand on October 31, but I am unable to use the refund for any benefits. Do you have any suggestions on how I can upgrade my seat for the upcoming trip? If I had known earlier that the refund couldn't be used for a new ticket, I wouldn't have paid $[redacted] to cancel the old one and convert it to travel credit. It's disappointing not to have received clearer information that day. In summary, I recently purchased a new ticket with your company after paying $[redacted] to maintain the value of the old ticket as travel credit, which cannot be applied to the new ticket. The travel credit will expire at the end of this year, which is impractical for me as my upcoming trip is towards the end of the year. If I had been aware of this, I would have given up on the old ticket, forgoing the $[redacted], and chosen a different airline for my upcoming travel. My old ticket confirmation: DXGYOB (after $[redacted] payment) New ticket confirmation: J6E21H

I purchased a business class ticket for an international flight, but encountered issues onboard. Another passenger occupied my assigned seat despite confirmation from the purser. I was relocated to 1A due to this, where the overhead bins were full and my meal choice was unavailable. 1A was not as peaceful as 5A, as it was near the galley with bright lights and frequent traffic. To shield myself from the illumination, I covered my face and requested to be awakened for meals, but missed breakfast as I was only alerted 20 minutes before landing. Consequently, I had little time to prepare for arrival, having to hurriedly tidy up before landing. I am seeking a refund for my business class upgrade due to not receiving the anticipated seat comfort and meal service.

Hello, I am flying with United Airlines from Munich to Denver towards the end of August. I have a query regarding transporting bicycles. The transportation was arranged and confirmed during booking. However, I am uncertain about the associated costs. On the Bag Fees section, an extra bag is mentioned at $[redacted]. There is also information on oversized luggage (our package measures 290cm and weighs 30kg), priced at an additional $[redacted]. Can I expect to pay $[redacted] per package for each flight? Thank you. Best regards, Jens Tower

On July 25th, [redacted], at around 9:30 a.m., I unintentionally left my IPAD unattended at ORD United's Gate F4 while getting ready to board a Southern Airways Express flight. Airport Police later confirmed that they found my IPAD and left it at United's Lost and Found Desk in Terminal 1. Despite reporting the incident online (Report #[redacted]3) and requesting a callback, I did not hear back. On July 31st, I visited the Lost and Found Desk at 4:02 p.m. to discover it was closed, and airport staff were unhelpful. Despite continuous tracking through "Find my IPAD," the device's location shifted to the FedEx Shipment Center. Despite contacting customer service representatives on August 3rd, my IPAD's whereabouts remain unresolved. I am concerned about the discrepancies in information and the possibility of theft. I urge United to investigate, locate my IPAD, and return it to me or provide compensation. Thank you. -Michael "Micah" J. Leslie, Esq. [redacted] / [redacted].

Hello, I recently arrived in the United States from South Africa, but unfortunately, my suitcase did not arrive with me. Despite providing proof that I checked it through to America, I have not received it. I suspect it may still be in Frankfurt where I had a layover. I have contacted the airline multiple times, but they have not located my suitcase, which is worrying. Could you please check in Frankfurt as well? There are some sentimental items in the bag that I really don't want to lose, and I'm concerned it may be marked as unclaimed baggage if not found soon. Thank you.

I had a reservation from Denver to Gunnison, CO for my July trip (round trip Boston to Gunnison). The flight from Denver to Gunnison got canceled because of bad weather. I only got reimbursed $88 for a flight that cost me over $[redacted]. Although I received a $[redacted] credit for a future flight as compensation, I had to spend $[redacted] plus gas to rent a car to reach my destination. I'm hoping to get a fair reimbursement for both the flight and the car rental expenses. Thank you. - C. Gates

My initial claim was denied because my travel delay was deemed under 2 hours. However, my journey was actually delayed by 3 days and diverted to a different location. I was supposed to fly from Narita to Newark, but mid-flight, the pilot rerouted the plane to San Francisco due to flight time restrictions. I was stranded in San Francisco for 3 days before being able to reach my intended destination. I'm seeking a refund and compensation from United for the extensive inconvenience caused. I've attached receipts for accommodations and additional expenses incurred during the wait as my luggage, which has yet to be delivered since 6/28. I've been without my belongings for two weeks now. Because of the unexpected stop in San Francisco, I had to pay for luggage that was originally included in my fare. (Reference #SDQ22676M)

Hello, I wanted to bring to your attention an experience we had on our recent trip. Our roundtrip journey from RDU to Naples, Italy, booked under confirmation number NE9L5Y, encountered a significant delay on UA472 from RDU to Newark. This delay jeopardized our connection to Naples, prompting us to secure alternative flights on American Airlines from LaGuardia to Newark at a cost of $[redacted], along with a $[redacted] Uber ride. United Customer Service at RDU was notified of our situation before our original departure. They advised us to address the matter of reimbursement after completing our travel. We kindly request a refund for the expenses incurred as detailed above. Sincerely, D. Loomis

I recently paid $[redacted] in advance to ensure my family and I could sit together on our flight from Tampa to Newark on August 11. Unfortunately, when we departed on August 6, we were not seated together as promised. I had originally spoken with Joshua on July 16, who processed my payment. While on vacation, I contacted Alicia, who advised me to fill out a refund form online. I am now having difficulty finding the document number needed to complete the form. I kindly request a resolution to this matter promptly. Please reach out to me as soon as possible.

Case ID: [redacted][redacted] I have submitted four requests regarding my concerns, but have yet to receive a response since my original query on July 21, followed up on July 27 and August 4. On July 15, we were scheduled on UA 59 in Premium Economy, which we missed due to an engine issue with the connecting Lufthansa flight. Subsequently, we were put on LH456 the next day in Economy Class. I am requesting a refund of the mileage difference for both tickets to be credited back to my MileagePlus account, as well as reimbursement for the cash paid for the cabin location. Furthermore, we encountered a boarding issue on flight OO [redacted] due to a computer glitch which delayed our departure. Lastly, one of our bags was temporarily lost. I believe compensation is warranted for these mishaps, in addition to the mileage and cash refunds requested. The one-way miles per person were supposed to be 120k, but we were downgraded to the 70k Economy rate, resulting in a difference refund of 50k per person, totaling 100k. Additionally, I am seeking compensation for the preferred seating fees totaling $36.00.

I mailed a Certified Registered Receipt letter on August 5, [redacted], addressed to UA at [redacted] Grand Plaza Drive, NHCCR, Houston, Texas 77[redacted]. I also sent copies via email to Mr. Kirby and Mr. Hart for courtesy. However, I have not received any acknowledgment or receipt for the letter. It seems that no one I have talked to is familiar with NHCCR or its meaning. Could you check if Mr. Kirby or Mr. Hart's office has followed up on this letter? I am eager to know the whereabouts of the letter and to get a response. I can provide you with a copy of the letter and the U.S. Postal Service receipt if needed. Thank you for your assistance. On August 14, my husband and I flew from SFO to Reykjavik via FRA using United record locators NM81D8 and NWWHHY, and LH record locators 4QFT8X and 4TA94B. Unfortunately, our luggage has been missing since August 15 due to baggage handling issues at Lufthansa in Frankfurt. Despite numerous calls and efforts, our bags only arrived in Reykjavik after we had left for Nuuk on August 18. Our bags were eventually forwarded to Toronto, aiming to reach us by August 26 in YIO (Pond Inlet). However, they are currently stuck at the Toronto airport despite conflicting information. This experience has been extremely frustrating, especially since we are on an expedition ship in Greenland without our belongings. We are hoping for the bags to be flown on Air Canada to Ottawa Airport (YOW) before continuing to Pond Inlet. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as we continue to face challenges getting our luggage back, feeling helpless after numerous calls and unfulfilled promises from Lufthansa. Sincerely, Leslie van Veenendaal

Unfortunately, my flight UA2370 from ORD to GRR on Saturday, June 17th, [redacted], was canceled. I couldn't find another flight until Monday, which conflicted with work. Since I didn't have my driver's license after an international flight to Chicago from Costa Rica, I had to take a taxi to Grand Rapids where my car was parked, spending $[redacted].07 on transport and $[redacted].69 on the flight I could redeem. I'm hoping to get refunded or credited for the travel expenses and the inconvenience caused.
