On June 18th, I accidentally left my bag in an Uber while rushing to catch a train. I contacted the driver within 10 minutes to arrange the return of my bag, but the driver hung up on me. I reached out to Uber support, and they instructed the driver to drop the bag at the Yashwantpur Uber office. Ten days later, I received a message stating the driver had returned the bag, but I hadn't received anything. When I updated support, they mentioned the driver would be at the Yashwantpur office on Monday at 9 am to discuss. Upon contacting the driver again, he claims he gave the bag to the office and advised me to check with them, ending the call abruptly.

I was quoted $[redacted] for my ride, but I was charged extra for waiting time. The driver couldn't find my condo even though I provided detailed directions. He also wasn't aware of my destination, making the journey stressful as I had to guide him. I kindly request a refund for the waiting time charge. Thank you, Mrs. S.

I was a passenger with Uber car number DL 1RTB3306 from IGI Airport to Sector 46, Gurugram. Unfortunately, during the ride, my wallet containing around [redacted]/- in cash, ID proofs, and credit and debit cards was stolen. The theft was discovered the next morning as I was on my way to work. Despite checking airport authorities and CCTV footage, no leads were found. Suspicion falls on either the driver or a subsequent passenger who used the same car.
Adding weight to our suspicions, there was an attempted transaction on our card late last night, which was declined, and we were alerted by an automatic email from the bank. We have filed a police report and possess a copy for reference. As regular Uber users, we are reaching out for assistance during this challenging time.
Sincerely,
Sushmita Srivastava

On June 12, [redacted], in Paris, I booked an Uber from 28 rue du bourg tibourg to Gare de Lyon train station at 5:50 pm. The driver arrived late at 6:15 pm and took me and my friend to Gare de Lyon. To my surprise, instead of the estimated 8 euros, I was charged 28 euros. The receipt showed a wrong destination of 33 quai de la tournelle in the 5th Arrondissement, which I am unfamiliar with. Upon examining the GPS on the receipt, it displayed a route from rue du bourg tibourg to Gare de Lyon, followed by an additional trip from Gare de Lyon with seemingly unnecessary movements near the station. Uber initially refunded 13 euros, but the total charge of 14.33 euros remains unjustified. Despite my requests for a full refund, apology, and explanation, Uber has only sent generic email responses and has now ceased communication altogether while retaining the excess payment. I will avoid using Uber until this matter is appropriately addressed.

During my recent trips in Merida, Mexico, I encountered issues with Uber drivers insisting on cash payments despite my account being set to charge my card automatically. This led to me being overcharged, with the receipt showing double the amount I had agreed upon in the app. Despite showing the driver my card details and explaining the automatic payment, he continued to demand cash.
I requested the driver to contact Uber to resolve the situation, but upon reaching my destination, he left with the cash without resolving the overcharge. This recurring problem with multiple drivers insisting on cash payments is unacceptable. The discrepancy between the original fare and the charged amount, as well as the inability to find the original charge in my app, is frustrating.
I believe the local Uber app in Merida may have a cash option that led to this confusion. I seek a refund for the overcharge and urge Uber to address this issue to prevent future occurrences in Merida, Mexico.

During a recent trip to Paris, I utilized Uber four times. However, I encountered an issue when I was charged an unexpectedly high amount for one of the trips due to their dynamic pricing. Despite reaching out to Uber approximately 8 times and explaining that I was not informed about this pricing prior to accepting the ride, I received responses that did not address my concern effectively. I repeatedly requested to speak with someone from Customer Service over the phone, providing my contact number, but this request was consistently ignored. As a result of the lack of resolution, I have decided to dispute the charge with my credit card company and consider discontinuing my use of Uber in the future.

Hello, I encountered an issue with the Uber Eats app. On June 30th, I attempted to place an order but canceled midway. Despite this, the app did not reflect any order being placed. Subsequently, a delivery driver arrived at the wrong address and contacted me. As I hadn't placed an order and the delivery was to the incorrect location, I declined to accept it. Unfortunately, I have now been charged for this mix-up. This is not an isolated incident, as there have been multiple occasions where drivers did not show up promptly, did not respond to calls, and I ended up bearing the cancellation fee when re-booking. It's frustrating to experience this while using your platform. I hope this matter can be addressed promptly. You can reach me at [redacted].

Around 7:30 pm today, we booked an Uber to [redacted] Topsia Road. The Uber driver arrived but refused to take us, saying he would cancel and reorder another ride, which he never did. Despite multiple attempts to contact him, he avoided our calls and falsely claimed he had canceled. We refrained from canceling to avoid charges. After about half an hour, he finally canceled, and Rs 81.25 was deducted from my account. This deduction is unjust as the driver was at fault. He should bear the cancellation fee, not me. I urge you to promptly refund this amount. Failure to do so may result in escalating this matter to higher authorities. Kindly process my refund without delay.

I was fortunate enough to get a ride home through Uber from a party, but unfortunately, I left my wallet in the car. My wallet contains all my personal information, and being homeless without it is incredibly difficult. I'm in distress because I don't know who the account holder is to contact the driver. This situation has been weighing heavily on me for almost a week now, and I'm not sure where to go from here.

I have had a difficult experience with Uber recently. On 7-4-19, I requested a ride to the airport, but the driver went to the wrong pickup location, causing delays and confusion. This resulted in two cancellations and a credit. Despite trying again on 7-9-[redacted], a similar issue occurred where the driver went to a different location than instructed by the app, resulting in another cancellation and credit. These incidents caused me to miss my desired mode of transportation, leading to additional travel time. I am frustrated by these repeated problems and unsure if I should continue using Uber.

I messaged yesterday, but the email I received did not address the issue I raised. I took two trips yesterday, one from my home to the destination and another back. The problem was with the first trip, but the email clarification referred to the second trip. The charge for the first trip was $[redacted].38. Although I paid this amount, I had an Uber credit of $89.58 from a previous ride. Due to the driver being hard of hearing, we couldn't discuss the credit, so we ended up paying what was shown on his mobile, $[redacted].38. However, the email stated that I paid $[redacted].79 in cash and had an Uber credit of $89.59.

On Monday, July 15, Uber charged me $48.50 for credit at 12:41 pm. However, when I tried to use it for my ride home, it showed insufficient funds. Despite multiple attempts to rectify this issue, I was charged $13.86 at 2:37 pm, then again at 2:38 pm, and a third time at 2:42 pm, all due to the same insufficient funds message. Luckily, I managed to find another way home. I urge you to promptly reverse these erroneous charges as I did not receive the service. Additionally, I had already paid $33.50 for a ride to Cheshire CT at 12:34 pm on July 15. Moving forward, I will switch to Uber cash to prevent such discrepancies. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I requested an Uber from my residence in DLF Phase-2, Gurgaon on July 12th. The driver assigned didn't respond to my calls, and the trip was cancelled. When I tried to rebook, I was charged ₹42 for the cancellation, even though it was the driver who cancelled. I rebooked, but the next assigned driver also cancelled after not answering my calls. On July 17th, when I tried to book another Uber, I was prompted to pay the ₹42 for the previous cancelled trip, making it impossible for me to proceed. Frustrated with the experience, I switched to booking with Ola without any issues. This recurring problem with Uber charging for cancelled rides by drivers is unacceptable, and I hope Uber addresses this for me and other customers.

I am upset about missing my appointment with my oncologist today due to an issue with an Uber driver. I notified the driver of our gate code and meeting spot, but then had to request a new driver which resulted in confusion and complaints from the replacement driver. Despite arranging to meet at a specific location, the driver failed to show up, claimed to have been driving around for 15 minutes which was inaccurate, and abruptly cancelled the ride. This caused me to miss my important medical appointment. I believe Uber drivers should not inquire about destinations or speak negatively about finding locations, especially within large apartment complexes where many riders reside.

I recently traveled from Chicago to Boston and then took a train to visit my elderly cousin in Worcester, MA. Upon arrival, an Uber driver named Atsede picked me up and took me to my cousin's house. A week later, I was billed $[redacted] for a spill that never occurred. Feeling scammed, I contacted Citibank to dispute the charge, but Uber provided receipts and the charge stood. Another Uber driver informed me that this type of fraud is common. I am seeking a resolution and wish for Atsede to be held accountable for her actions. Kindly contact me at [redacted]. Your assistance in addressing this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This will be my second or third time complaining about my charges with Uber. I enjoy using their services, but it's frustrating to be charged for wait times that didn't happen. My email is [redacted], and I would like my fares reviewed from 7-15-19 to 7-18-19. Specifically, I was charged for wait time on Monday 7-15-19 and Tuesday 7-16-19 despite being ready when the drivers arrived. On 7-17-19 and 7-18-19, I waited for the drivers but was not charged for the wait time, which I appreciate. Even though it may be just a few cents, I value my hard-earned money and detest dishonesty. I have filed another complaint with Uber regarding this recurring issue and hope it can be resolved. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - [redacted]

I have noticed unauthorized charges on my bank account from UBER every other week despite not using the service since April 9th, [redacted]. I have verified through the app that I have not taken any trips. It is concerning to lose money without understanding the reason behind it. I am willing to provide specific dates of the charges if necessary. I have not linked any debit or credit cards to my account for the past month and a half. I urgently request a prompt resolution to this issue. Thank you. Sincerely, J. M.

This morning I scheduled my first trip at 6:04 AM. However, the driver passed by my location and went a mile north despite my attempts to communicate with him. I canceled the trip as my husband was going to be late for work. After several failed attempts to book with Uber, I finally switched to Lyft, though they are more expensive. The frustration of this experience left my husband over 30 minutes late for work. We rely on Uber weekly due to the lack of early buses on Saturdays. I believe compensation is warranted for the inconvenience caused by these incompetent drivers. The first driver was Theophilus and the second was Joseph. Please contact me by email or phone at [redacted] or [redacted]. Thank you.

This is my first ride with Uber, and it has been a disappointing experience. I was charged Rs. 22 for wait time when the driver didn't locate the exact pick-up point. The driver moved to the end of the street, making me wait. I don't believe I should pay the wait fee when it was due to the driver's actions. Moreover, I booked an Innova for my family, but the driver lowered the AC, making it suffocating. He also delayed opening the back door for our luggage. I feel Ola provides better service than Uber. I don't want to rate the driver poorly, but this experience was unacceptable. I request a refund for the inconveniences faced.
